Masked cowboys take center stage this issue, starting off with cover feature Redmask in “Redmask vs. Strawman, illustrated by Frank Bolle. Then, The Haunted Horseman (comic’s first Ghost Rider) learns “The Horror of Dead Man’s Cave!!”, by Ray Krank and Dick Ayers; followed by The Durango Kid in “Strong Medicine”, with art by Fred Guardineer, and The Masked Rider in “Unsolved Mystery”. Plus, there are two full stories starring a couple of hombres who are NOT afraid to show their faces, Rocky Lane in “The Frame-Up”; drawn by Tom Cooke, and Tom Mix and “The Mortgage on Murder”, with art by Carl Pfeufer & John Jordan. Western comics adventure at it’s best, straight out of the genre’s Golden Age, the early 1950′s. 40 pages, black & white with color covers. Standard Best of the West size & format, saddle-stitched.
