A big, colorful photo cover of Roy Rogers, King of the Cowboys encases the best reprint anthology of Golden Age Western comic book reprints to be found anywhere- and for this tremendous 27th issue, that’s just the beginning. Roy himself stars in a superb Dell story, “Roy Rides a Hunch”, with top-notch art by John Buscema. Then, it’s a Magazine Enterprises fun-fest, with reproductions of three great M. E. stories-”The Death Rattle”, a Tim Holt/Red Mask tales drawn by Frank Bolle, The Durango Kid in “The Vanishing Hats of Holering Gap”, by Fred Guardineer, and The Haunted Horseman, (The original Ghost Rider) in “A Trap For Nemesis”, illustrated by Dick Ayers. Plus, a never-before-seen Black Phantom story, “The Dangerous Dude”, drawn by none other than Dick Giordano!! The best in Western thrills of the 1940′s and ’50′s.40 pages, black and white with color covers, 6″ X 9 3/8″ B. O. W. size.
