When the X-Terminators (X-Factor) were down in the Morlock tunnels, they were attacked by Berzerker and his group, thinking they were the Marauders. After a short fight Berzerker recognized their outfits and called off his group. They were invited to stay with the rest of the survivors, and after a short debate, he accepted them. Later Berzerker decided to leave and go back to the tunnels. Once outside the group ran into trouble at the docks where they got into a fight with a gang. Berzerker watched as his group was killed, and went berserk.
Cyclops tried to stop him, and with his blast, shot him into the water. Berzerker's absorbed electro-magnetic energy was torn from him when he hit the water. Cyclops looked for him in the water, but he was completely gone. It is assumed he died.
Berzerker was created by Louise Simonson and Walt Simonson in 1986 and first appeared in X-Factor # 11.
He is seen working with Selene during Necrosha after being revived. He was seen fighting X-Force along with Pyro, another revived mutant.
Utilize and detect the entire electro-magnetic spectrum, and project destructive energy. He can also hear radio-waves through his powers.
Berzerker was a former Morlock before he enrolled in the Institute and joined the New Mutants. His real name in the series was Ray Crisp, a teenager who had a bad temper. He confessed to Wolverine that he do not want to go to class because he didn't like Physics. Berzerker, unlike the original version, cannot fly. During the battle against Apocalypse and his Horsemen, Berzerker was among the mutants sent to China to fight Storm who became a horseman. Berzerker was able to electrify Storm, defeating her, but Storm was able to rise and create a storm that electrified Berzerker himself.
Berzerker was attached to the series because the staff was looking for a character that had a bad guy image and Ray became the most suitable for the role.
Wolverine and the X-Men
Berzerker was a teenager shown running away from Mr Sinister's Marauders. Meanwhile, his future version was one of the mutants who were imprisoned by the Sentinels. As he meets Professor X, he joined his team of Future X-Men and together they set out to take down the Sentinels. In the first Season Finale, Berzerker joined the Future X-Men to take down Master Mold where they were joined by Polaris.
