In the "Quest for Magik" arc,Match had to fight Belasco.
A former member of the Hellions training squad, Mercury was a junior member of the X-Men. Her mutant power transformed her entire body into living liquid metal. Although continually struggling to accept her mutant form, she has made strong friendships with other young mutants under the X-Men's care. She is currently enrolled at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning.
Kurt Wagner is a prominent member of the X-Men and former member and leader of Excalibur. He possessed the Neyaphemian ability of teleportation, as well as incredible agility, wall scaling and a prehensile tail. Nightcrawler is a devout Catholic, contrasting his demonic appearance. He is a highly skilled swordsmen and former circus acrobat.
Pilgrimm discovered that the N'Garai had allied themselves with Belasco and were attempting to conquer Limbo, which would allow them access to any place and time. He faced off against the N’Garai who were attempting to steal some of the X-Men’s souls for Belasco’s spell, but the heroes had problems believing that he was actually on their side and opposed him in every turn. Jean was greatly disturbed but managed to convince Pilgrimm to stop Belasco instead of attacking the X-Men.
Pixie is a fairy-winged mutant who can cause those exposed to her dust to experience hallucinations. Her powers also includes teleportation. A former X-Men student, she is now part of the Legion of X.

Rockslide and the other students at the Institute were trapped in Limbo where they battled Belasco who was seeking to steal one of their souls and it was seen he was immune to magic.
There are two versions of Shanna the She-Devil. The newest version was written by Frank Cho and has no connections to the original.
Sharon Ventura was a former pro-wrestler who fell in love with the Thing and subsequently joined the Fantastic Four as Ms. Marvel. During an adventure in space, she was exposed to Cosmic Rays which mutated her body into a rock-like form similar to that of the Thing. She is not to be confused with Darla Deering (a.k.a. Ms. Thing).
The evil ruler of Limbo competed against an elderly alternate version of Storm to mentor young Illyana Rasputin. Storm no longer had her mutant powers, but had learned magic to combat Belasco. Mainstream continuity Storm encountered Belasco when he kidnapped young Illyana. The X-Men rushed to save her, and therefore Storm encountered her elderly counterpart. Storm wanted her older self to come home after they had completed their mission but she declined and stated that someone needed to keep Belasco at bay from doing any harm.
Noriko faced off against Belasco after he had kidnapped her teammates, and seemingly killed her lover, David.
Ben Grimm, better known as the Thing, is the original quintessential tough-guy of the Marvel Universe. But, because of his transformation, he's also the tragic member of the Fantastic Four. Ben was an ace test-pilot until exposure to intense cosmic radiation mutated him into a rock-skinned monster with immense superhuman strength. Ben's exterior is much harder than stone which gives him a rather gruff disposition; but deep down, he has a heart of gold.
A mutant with the ability to release her unique energy-manipulating astral form, Hope Abbott is a student of the X-Men with the codename Trance. Her powers have helped to save the New X-Men, and proved a helpful aid for Rogue in battle. She is currently enrolled at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning.
Witchfire, whose real name is Ananym, is the daughter of the demon sorcerer Belasco (ruler of Limbo) and ex-member of Gamma and Beta Flight.

A long-lived mutant with the rage of a beast and the soul of a Samurai, James "Logan" Howlett's once mysterious past is filled with blood, war, and betrayal. Possessing an accelerated healing factor, keenly enhanced senses, and bone claws in each hand (along with his skeleton) that are coated in adamantium; Wolverine is, without question, the ultimate weapon.
When he captured the students from the Xavier Institute he considered X-23 worthless to him and he killed her on multiple occassions, bringing her back to life to let her suffer more.
