Darth Maul in the Clone Wars... should I be upset for the sake of the character and continuity or excited for Maul returning in a series and getting more attention?

goldenkeyon Feb. 23, 2012 at 2 p.m.

wher'd I see this guy before??

He should stay dead. The final battle and his death in Episode 1 was epic and the best part of the film. Bringing him back just ruins it.

USA Today has debuted the new trailer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The show is gearing up for the final four episodes with a long story arc that will include one of the only bright spots in Episode I, Darth Maul. Maul will have survived his encounter from the first installment of the franchise but will need help getting around with a robotic lower half. And for all of you fans of the double sided lightsaber you will be disappointed to find out he will only use the half that survived the battle with Obi-Wan.

I don't think this is the first time they have brought him back

@goldenkey: He was Doomsday in Smallville and he was the voice and model for Starkiller in Star Wars the force unleashed

It's his first canon comeback. All the other times weren't.

Oh right, Star Wars canon confuses the hell out of me.

On another note I wish they had gave him a Scottish accent as a homage

AHHHH!!. I just read on wookieepedia (star wars wiki) that Maul is going have 6 robotic legs. God, I hope that isn't true. That will be HORRIBLE.

I don't know if anyone got it or not....but umm Darth Maul is broken....like broken. Darth Maul is broken. His mind is broken...did I mention he's broken?

That's what he is like in the EU and not what it appears to be his canon appearance/form.

If it can work for Grievous, it can work for Maul.

I disagree.

Sam Witmer is the man dude! He was awesome as the Son and Galen Marek! He gonna rock as Darth Maul no doubt! I don't care with the canon because I think most things in Clone Wars don't ever happen in the movies!

MrMiracle77on Feb. 23, 2012 at 4:18 p.m.
Y'know years before Episode 1 in the video game Dark Forces II, a character named 'Moc' suffered an injury similar to Maul and managed to survive while bonded to a special hover-pad.  He was one of those weirder bosses.
Funrushon Feb. 23, 2012 at 5:41 p.m.

Maul sounds pretty pissed! I have a feeling that this will be a pretty cool episode(s)!

Technicolorvilleon Feb. 23, 2012 at 5:41 p.m.

@dioramademon: He's also Aiden in the Syfy channel show, "Being Human". He's a vampire in that show.
