BEFORE WATCHMEN is continuing. We're still in the midst of the first round of miniseries but there's more coming. Back in August it was announced that there would be a BEFORE WATCHMEN: MOLOCH miniseries (with the first issue on sale November 7) written by J. Michael Straczynski with art by Eduardo Risso.

Today, DC announces the next character that will be appearing: Dollar Bill.

BEFORE WATCHEN: DOLLAR BILL will be a one-shot written by Len Wein and illustrated by Steve Rude. Wein will be exploring why Bill Brady put on a costume that made him a mascot for National Bank Co. How did he go from this to becoming one of the heroes? We'll have to read to find out. MTV Geek has an interview with Wein.

BEFORE WATCHEN: DOLLAR BILL goes on sale January 30, 2013.

I hope they show the ending of him getting caught in the revolving door and getting shot in the head

This series would have been better as digital comics where it would not have to clutter up the shelves.

Also true. If people are willing to buy it, DC will be pushing it. Hopefully Wein and Rude deliver a great story.

I'm sorry, but I got enough of Dollar Bill from Minutemen, which isn't that much. Probably a good thing, since it seems like he's quite the homophobe in that book. Really, does anyone really care about him.

All I'm gonna say is that that's a fantastic cover by Steve Rude, as always.

Yeah, but... it's a one-shot. It's not like they're going to go with a super long-winding repetitive story just for cash.

I uh..... is Before Watchmen supposed to be an entire line? Which is weird because they're all miniseries' or one-shots. I thought it was just kind of an event of sorts, it's a little weird that DC keeps stretching it out like this. I was supportive of the one big set of prequels, but if they keep drawing it out like this I dunno.

@Rumble Man: That will probably happen in Minutemen. I imagine this story is just to delve into the Character of Dollar Bill a bit more.

@sethysquare: Good god, a Mothman one-shot would be amazing. Hooded Justice and him have always been two of the most interesting characters to me.

This is a fantastic cover! What lines, what colors, what epicness!!

I would say milking it because Dollar Bill was probably the least mentioned/fleshed out character from the Watchmen universe. But I've been pretty loving Minutemen so I guess I'll give it a shot, I just can't think of any bits of information we've gotten on him in either the original comic or in Before so far that could be fleshed out.

This is tempting to check out. And I like the aforementioned idea about a Mothman one shot (or two parter) ... that sounds too good to resist.

meh, I lost interest in before watchmen after teh second issues.

Oh this is awesome, but wow another Before Watchmen story? Kinda getting up there in amount aren't they? Still, I'll be ready to get this and all the others when its TP time. Can't wait!

Personally, I'm doing my best to ignore these books entirely. I loved Watchmen and I don't want that nostalgia ruined by this obvious corporate grab. I do hope some people are enjoying these though.
