King of Kings
This is one of the better series of the Before Watchmen and I think that's a lot down to Jae Lee's art work. He really has a great way of character emotions and great layouts. The story however is a little lacking for me as it drags out some bits and rushes others and overall has a little too much going on.
This continues the tale of Ozymandias' past from his own autobiography (which is a funny way of telling the story in my opinion). It continues right from the last issue with Ozymandias continuing his transition into becoming a vigilante by taking down a gun dealer and finally getting chased of by the police. When this happened the only thing I thought was that was a bit rushed was how he came up with his name in seconds without any thought into it (although he does know a lot about Egypt with Ramesses II who was known as Ozymandais. This issue ends with a surprise guest from another Watchman but I won't spoil it for you.
Final verdict. As I said this is one of the better comics in the Before Watchmen series and is a must have for anyone who likes the Watchmen, the character and even Ancient Egypt in some retrospect.
