I have been liking "Before Watchmen" so far and this issue has also been good. Once you get past that this is not Alan Moore writing this then it becomes an enjoyable comic. Daniel Dreiberg was true to the Nite Owl we know from the original "Watchmen". Hollis Mason was very interesting and I liked how the comic explained his and Dreibergs relationship. I did not like how Rorschach kept saying "hurm". Yes he said that in the comics but it happened to much and seemed like a lazy way of introducing...

The Before Watchmen limited series continues with The Nite Owl #1.My fav writer J. Michael Straczinski and my fav artists Andy and Joe (Our Army at War) Kubert son and father team really rock with this series.A boy who adores the Nite Owl, has his room plastered with the stuff – action figures, posters, comics, etc. Who could not relate? So far I have only read Minutemen and Silver Spectre, and this one was my favorite. Don't get me wrong, I thought Minutemen was great, and cannot wait for the rest of the series, but this was one of the titles I was really looking forward to.Dan Dreiberg was portrayed as an over weight worry-wart in Watchmen. He looked more like a fan boy at ComicCon than an ex-masked avenger. In the flashback sequences he showed some of his promise as a vigilante, but we did not get to see too much of it. When ...
