Several people have been known as Beetle, the first was Abner Jenkins now known as Mach IV. The second one, Leila Davis, was killed in battle by Graviton.
Currently three people are using the Beetle name, using three variants of Abner's old Beetle suits.
Jenkins was a great machanic at an aircraft parts factory. He bacame bored of his low paying job. So he decided to build a super suit. he used it for fame, wealth, and adventure. Jenkins lureed the Human Torch and the Thing into battle, thinking if he beat half of the Fantastic Four he would become famous. The Human Torch and the Thing defeated him and the Beetle wasw sent to jail. He wanted revenge so he searched for them but found Spider-man instead. He was defeated again. He lost every battle against costumed crimefighters.
