Should he have his own series?

#1 Posted by Shaper (5168 posts) - - Show Bio

As we seen Raven has just got her own series and Cyborg is about to get (Not to mention nightwing has his own series too) Now, you say if you want to have his own series because your a fan (Like me) but if you are totally serious about this, you would give reasons why. Like, do you think he is a good solo character, or anything else.

#2 Posted by Eternal Chaos (22990 posts) - - Show Bio

I don't think he's a good solo character. Not enough depth to him.

#3 Posted by Supreme Marvel (11270 posts) - - Show Bio

He had a 4 part mini series in 2000.

Beast Boy is a guy that needs to be with the teen titans or the doom patrol to shine, alone he doesn't work at least that's how I see him.

Take his miniseries as an example, they had to throw nightwing and flamebird into the mix.

Raven and Cyborg have their miniseries because they are popular and their origins give them the oportunity to have their own story

No four. I was putting them on the vine. But had to go. Am not on the computer yet. When i am i'll put them on

Yes, the Teen Titans should continue.

The answer is yes, yes, yes, and more YES. He's a great Solo character.

to be honest I don't think that Beast Boy will be the next titan with who they'll try a new ongoing

besides the purpose of team books is to show character that don't appear anywhere else, yet you see the teen titans everywhere :P

#10 Posted by Shaper (5168 posts) - - Show Bio

I like Beast Boy, but I have my doubts of him being a solo character. But, I hope they at least try and prove me wrong.

#11 Posted by Gottheit (3473 posts) - - Show Bio

Beast Boy. Even if he turns solo he needs at least one other hero along side him, like Raven or Cyborg or whoever. Like Booster Gold and Blue Beetle.

pixelized says:

"Beast Boy isnt a strong enough solo to do a Solo....would anyone read it anyway?"

correct writer and artists and I would give it a shot

Who do you think would do a good job with him?

#16 Posted by Nighthunter (28582 posts) - - Show Bio

Shaper says:

"Who do you think would do a good job with him?"

hmm that's a hard one

it would depend on how they want to take the character

if they want something for a more mature audience I would put the guy that wrote animal man titles in vertigo (don't remember the name)

then again it depends on how and to where they would like to lead the character

if you create a scenario it would help

like:

Beast Boy would lose his human side to his animal side

something like that

I would. He's my third favourite character. Behind Captain Marvel & Superman

In the mini series he tried the acting job.

Good writing makes anything worth reading...so i change my vote...The Emma Frost Series i was so apprehensive about reading because i didnt think she was strong enough [although i absolutely love her], but the writing was amazing and worth while. Provided Beast Boy has a good team behind him then i dont mind picking up the book.

He did in the titans future storyline. I thought it was cool, but I like the joking beast boy. But, that for an arc would be cool.

I know that's in what I based myself lol Beast Boy as the new animal man was a good twist"

Yea, and I love it how he was able to use other animals abilities while in a different animal form.

yup

but back on topic I would actually prefer a new series of the doom patrol with beast boy than just an ongoing series of him

Eternal Chaos says:

Bah you can always draw him in 3d, that'll give him plenty of depth.

#27 Posted by Supreme Marvel (11270 posts) - - Show Bio

I put them comics on. There in pending now.

#28 Posted by Farwind (66 posts) - - Show Bio

I'd love to see a beast boy solo series, though theres nothing big enough in his life right now to base an ongoing series on. if they weren't going to add anything, they'd need an additional character, raven would probably work better than cyborg.

But no, to make it good, they'd need to have something tramatic happen. something that makes him go out to find that animalistic side. it would have to be very dark, and very mature. Throw him out into the wild and have him battle the very fiber of his being. after that, they'd have a character who they could run on ongoing series with.

I'd love to see a beast boy solo series, but there isn't enough in his life to make a long series in addition  think beast boy should have his own series that starts off from his child hood to now (to help build up on his story line so he could have a reason to be who he his) and i also think he should be a darker and more mature character and a little violent at times.  i think he should go to the dark side because it would be  everyone on his team except starfire has been there so it would be interesting.  and if he were to have a character with him in a series i think it should be either cyborg (because they already have a great friendship) raven (because you could build up on there relationship through out the series) and robin (because there pretty good friends and if robin trained beast boy they would be pretty much unstoppable. i really hope they make a series because he's my favorite super hero.

#30 Posted by NightFang (10261 posts) - - Show Bio

I say put him with Doom Patrol and make him leader and have the series be told from his POV.

#31 Posted by the #1man (18 posts) - - Show Bio

hell yeah

Beast Boy is a great character. It seems funny, sensitive and very dangerous. But even without Titans and Doom Patrol, he needs partners. The lonely super heroes are not so interesting, allies and friends are needed for a good story.

But I think it deserves a leading role, even his own movie.

#33 Posted by beastboy77 (48 posts) - - Show Bio

Beast boy deserves his own series not just a little mini series a whole series he is the best hero in the dc universe and should've had his own series a long time ago so dc comics give beast boy a series he deserves it
