If Ms.Martain can shape shift,fly,and is a telepath then what use does beaste boy serve.

Just a random thought that has annoyed me

Well the day that Ms Martian doesn't want to shape shift Beast Boy is there to do it.

He's still another addition to the numbers of the heroes, plus he's got a different personality & can give different views and opinions than Ms.Martain may bring to the table.

He's another person willing to put his life on the line for the greater good!

His power is so awesome. I Lol'ed when I saw him fighting Trigon. It had all the people of newYork confused when the news reported a group of superpowered teens where fighting trigon in the middle of manhatten. Then the reporter was like 'it appears that a big green grizzly bear is joining the fight.' :)

Plus, he has the coolest parents in ElastiGirl and Mento. I wish dc would put out a mini series involving the relationship of those two.

@eternalnature: in general all of them assuming Ms.Martain would be capable of existing in all of them.

1. Miss Martian hasn't been introduced in the New 52 yet...only a cameo

2. She never really used her shape shifting that much during fights...she really only used her psionic abilities

well yes but she really only ever used her shape shifting to blend in...she never really used it in combat

@danhimself: So beast boy uses it more efficiently and more consistently,and Ms.Martin doesn't use her shape shifting like Martain Manhunter does?

pretty much....you have to figure that is Beast Boy's only power and Miss Martian has telepathy, telekinesis, super strength, phase shifting, and flight just to name a few and Beast Boy has been using that one power since he was a little kid to fight in Doom Patrol and the Teen Titans...it just kind of seems right that he would be better at using it than her

I don't really know that much about Martian Manhunter but did he ever really use his shape shifting a lot in battle or was that just something he did a lot on the animated series?

Well Beast Boy can transform into any animal that exist or existed, plus he can communicate with them from dinossaurs, earth animals, allien animals, demon animals with help of evil seed. Plus he gains abilities of that animal, plus small animal can be use to spy. The only weakness, is the he must know the animal and cannot change the collour, all transformations are all green or red (New 52).
