As a child, Garfield Logan contracted with a rare illness called Sakutia and was cured by a serum from a green monkey. This serum had the unintended effect of turning his skin and hair green and gave him the ability to change into any animal (the colors and appearance of these animals changed depending on which artist was using the character at the time).

Originally and currently known as Beast Boy, he was adopted by Elasti-Girl and Mento, members of the Doom Patrol. He later joined the West Coast team of the Teen Titans (known as Teen Titans West), and was part of the New Teen Titans assembled by Raven. It was at this time that he took the name Changeling. He remained with various incarnations of the team, forming a close friendship with Cyborg.

He later began using the name Beast Boy again, under which he got his own mini-series Beast Boy. Following a failed attempt to recreate "Titans West" as "Titans L.A.," he rejoined the main team.

He has also worked as an actor, playing the role of an alien in the TV series Space Trek 2022 (which, even in the fictional setting, was a thinly disguised pastiche of Star Trek and Space: 1999, and was canceled following threats of legal action on the grounds of plagiarism).

Teen Titans Volume 3

The first sign of Beast Boy is near the entrance of T tower, where Wonder Girl is at the entrance with Starfire. He tries to show Cassie around by his own but Starfire pushes him down and she says sit “Beast Boy.” Good dog. Then Beast Boy changes into a dog and replies for you, Goldie, I’d be a great dog. All the new Titans arrive and beast boy shows them around the tower.

First Sign

Beast Boy is watching the TV with Bart Allen were they agues over what to watch which leads to the TV getting broke.

The first sign of trouble is at Alcatraz, where they seen an explosion. Near there is a boat which is on fire from the explosion. Beast Boy morphs into an elephant and sprays water on the parts that are on fire, and puts all he can out. It turns out that the explosion was Deathstroke doing. He also shoots Impulse in the kneecap with a shotgun which hospitalizes him.

At the hospital Beast Boy is discussing to Cyborg about not leaving Tim Drake and the others out. Then Beast Boy smells Deathstroke on the roof. They head up there and Beast Boy tries to hit him but can’t get near him and is sent flying into a building. While they get him down to the floor with the help of Cyborg's sound wave arm part they get close to Deathstroke only that he reveals he is actually, Jericho.

They are fighting but getting beat, help arrive from Bart Allen formally Impulse. Who has learned a library load of information, he is beating up Deathstroke…well. The others arrive, and then Jericho switches over a few bodies. Things don’t look good for Beast Boy because Jericho is in Starfire who has a grip of Beast Boy’s throat. The squabble over doing the right thing, then Raven arrives and Jericho switch and tries to go into Raven but it didn’t work properly and he moves someone else. But then Raven mysteriously vanishes.

Powers

Beast Boy has the ability to morph into any animal he knows of. He can change into extinct animals and even animals on differnent planets. When he changes the changes only take a couple of seconds. It doesnt matter how big or small. He can change froma tick to a T-Rex in seconds. It does not put strain on him to do this. He can stay in an animals form indefinetly. He can take on the shape of animals without limbs to. Such as sankes ticks or worms. Two times he has changed into multiple of animals such as a swarm of fireflies and a group of barnacles. When he change into an animal he gains all that animals abilities. Such as if he grow into a bat he has the aility of sonar. Or the strength of a elephant speed of a cheetah. He can even gain poison from animals. Such as the poison froma snake or spider. While in his animal forms he can speak even if the animal cant speak. He keeps his intelligence and humanity. The only problem is no matter what form he takes the animals skin and hair color will always be green. This stops him from hiding in plain sight. Beast Boy has also been shown to shapeshift into demonic animals. Such as the time when Raven impplanted Beast boy with a evil seed of her father. He changed into demonic animals. Beast Boy can also change into a hybrid. This creature has all the animals powers rolled into one. He cant control this so he doesnt turn into it unless absolutley needed.

In Titans Tommorow. Garfield takes ona more animal like form. Not taking showers adn having uncotrolable fur grow around his face. This Garfield has the ability to multiple while in animals form. Such as when he grew into two bulls. Or a group of spiders. Thia can be done by utilizing an amobeas powers while in a differnent animals form.

Gar was also a main character on the animated series, Teen Titans. He was still close buddies with Cyborg. His character was the jokester of the group and got on others nerves. Though, he was still close with all of them.
