The upside to a later release means that gives us plenty of time to get a lot of issues done. Amy [Reeder] has turned in some variant cover work for the series and has shown us thumbnails for issue 6, looks really nice. So while I'm moving forward, she is too, we'll have my arc done and hers well on it's way to completion by the time this thing rolls out...I'm fast approaching the middle of issue 3's interior art, Haden and I've started working on script for issue 8, the first 5 covers are done, and Dave [Stewart] has had issue 2 in his hands for his special magic touch.

Batwoman has had the most gorgeous art following her through her appearances. I'm so on the edge of my seat for this series. I feel like I've been waiting for it for forever now.

I hate that I have to wait but....
 
In C2E2 Didio explained (or at least that's what I understood from his statement) that they would wait to release batwoman a little more in order to give it more of a chance to find a market. Considering the number of Flashpoint tie-ins and obvious next projects post Brightest day for the publisher (Hawkman and Aquaman have been basically been confirmed by Johns and Robinson) this seems like a logical move, especially considering how slow JH Williams III is

Can't say I'm surprised. This book will still probably be looking at delays once it's finally released, which is sad.

The delays are saddening because the book looks incredible.

I'm actually glad it's been delayed. I picked up the #0 issue and thought it was really good, and then was worried I had missed the series' launch while I was on vacation. I never bothered to look for it on the shelves, fearing I was too far behind. Good to know I can still jump on board from the beginning!

Maybe DC should/could release Batwoman as a TPB, and skip the monthly distribution.

At least the delay is for the beginning of the series. It's better than only releasing 1 or 2 issues and THEN having a delay for the next one. *Cough cough Batman Inc. cough cough The Dark Knight.* 
 
On a related note, what happened to Batman: Odyssey? 6 issues in a suddenly the solicits are gone. And All 4 of the solicits for Batman: Europa disappeared as well. At least we know Batwoman's still coming, what's the deal with Europa?

It is beganning to sound like the same situation with Ultimate Comics X.

Bloody 'EL!  With this much delays Vertigo readers could of had another year of Madame Xanadu.  I hate the management at DC Comics.

I'm digging it. I'll prob check it out. It has a Noir feel to it, with a kick ass chick in it. If it's any good, it can be something I can show the girls and it can raise their interest in the medium a bit more. 

While I eagerly await Batwoman 1, I'd rather it was done right than rushed. The run in Detective was one of my favorite comics of the last couple years next to Fraction's Invincible Iron Man and definitely one of the best things DC has produced in a while with a few exceptions.

I'm pretty disappointed. I've been looking forward to it since reading issue 0. It's just interesting how they promoted it so much for the feb release and then delayed it until Apr to some more heavy promotions to just have it delayed again and to not give a real explanation as to why.

Maybe they'll do something like with bat inc, publishing two issues in one month kind of making up for its own delays.

Sucks that it's being delayed, but whenever it comes out i'll check it out.

Although I'm stilled bummed Rucka isn't involved, this news bums me out even more. Kate Kane is a really strong character to have in the dcu. She knows who she is and what she is about. She won't let anyone change that. She also kicks ass.
 
Hopefully this book will be awesome with the talent involved (it is a good group). I'll just have to pickup Batman Inc#4 to get my fill of Kate until they finally get around to releasing her series. Hurry up!

I guess I'd rather it wasn't rushed. The Batwoman run in Detective was one of my favorite things of 2009-10 so I'm anxious, but what's the use getting your outer-panties in a bunch about delays?

It didn't make the August solicits. Maybe September, since Flashpoint ends in August.
