    Poetic Panels of Water, J3 delivers another masterpiece. 0

    Even without Greg Rucka Batwoman still runs smooth like water flowing, at times slow and steady like a creek or strong and fast like a river.  The control of the narrative has always been in J.H. Williams III or simply J3's hands.  His panel layouts are perfect space economy, like how water fills a jar, the art fills the page where it needs to flow, J3's art is really poetic. In splash pages or wide pictures, smaller panels move within the panel, leading us with our eyes.  Another neat thing J3 ...

    Another Great Issue 0

    Last issue of Batwoman was perfect. This time Batwoman #2 tries to deliver the same thing. Does it work as well as it did last time?   THE GOOD: the art is amazing. I like the contrast between her being Batwoman and the normal life. I also really like this story. It still mentions things from the Detective Comic's run and I think that is important. We get to see her fighting with her new sidekick and talking about the struggle she is having with her father. I really like seeing the Religion of C...

    The Good: While the cover isn't as interesting as the last one, it's not bad, and it's still gorgeous. Not to mention the interior art is equally beautiful. The gorgeous amount of detail without being stiff, the AMAZING experimental panel layouts AND the impressive variation of those, and the difference between 'Batwoman' art and 'Kate Kane' art.Williams manages to balance all the story elements beautifully. It's hard to talk about it in terms of plots and subplots because everything is tied tog...
