This is one of the best issues I've read since the last issue of this book. Batwing is an awesome new addition to the DC Universe and this book shows why., He is a young, inexperienced hero; and him going against Massacre while mortally wounded shows it. I loved everything about this comic. Can't wait for #3. If you haven't read #1, get it if you can. Batwing #2 - First Blood by keith71_98 on October 05, 2011

I'm not a huge Judd Winick fan but his first issue of Batwing had some good characters and enough intrigue to keep me interested despite it's structural problems. Issue #2 has the same structural problems but left me less interested which could spell my departure from yet another Winick title. This has all the ingredients to be a good series but both Winick and artist Ben Oliver mess up the recipe.  The first issue ended with Massacre's machete blade exploding out of Batwing's chest. Still wasting space 0

Like I pointed out in the last review of #1 of this, this is just Batman and Nightwing smashed together with an African coat of paint. Every single action can be predicted by simply asking what would the person this character is a stand-in for do in this situation? Pick the most shallow, most surface level thinking answer and you know what is happening without reading the book.For example, next month Massacre will be revealed to be either someone that the Kingdom supposedly wrong OR more likely ...
