John Stone was born with the Nu-Gene positive DNA. This provide him with super human strength and endurance.

Combine that with his military training in strategy and weapons, John was one of the most formidable warriors.

John Stone's adventurous life began way back in World War II as a serviceman. Here he was recruited by the superteam the Allies. The Allies fought throughout Europe until the end of the war.

His first leadership role came when he took on the early Youngblood unit in the Persian Gulf War.

That is where much of his life is still shrouded with mystery. The only thing that is known is John Stone was shot and killed by the Cyberdata assassin, Dutch.

Not that this would stop John.

John was reanimated through the Born Again Project that as a byproduct imbued him with an extreme pain and injury threshold, bordering on invincibility.

Again he took on the reigns of a Youngblood leader but after a botch mission, causing the death of a subordinate, he was dismissed.

He then began a small mercanary band with Kayo, Boone and Lethal. Carrying out small missions here and there.

It was when he approached the Barros brothers (Coldsnap and Seahawk)that Brigade was formed.

Battlestone has fought many battles with Brigade even against his own flesh and blood.

Cabbot, his brother, leader of the governemnt superteam Bloodstrike and his power mad father, Quantum.
