what is you're favorite Batman arc?

personally i'm a massive fan of No Mans land and Contagion...

though you could probably say that Contagion, Legacy, Cataclysm and No Mans Land are one major arc.

anyone else got a different favorite?

can anyone tell me where to begin reading Batman???? iv heard of No mans land buts thats a follow on to other, is there a praticularly good place to begin with???

Start at the beginning of Knightfall

thats a good place to star and it's 'reasonably' recent, but with enough backstory and characters to get you in good stead for all the later stuff.

Wonder if the killing joke could be called bats arc, cuz it's about joker right? I think this arc is important cuz it's sets the mind set to everyone that comic is not for kids only. How joker treats victim is as important as sue dibny rape in identity crisis.

Dark Knight Returns, I suppose. If it counts. Otherwise, Knightfall.

Hush - mostly because of the art: Jim Lee can do no wrong!

Knights End - I loved when Lady Shiva trained Batman

Does the Killing Joke count?? Because that was the greatest book I've EVER read. Then after that I's say #2 is Arkham Asylum...#3 is The Long Halloween. All amazing graphic novels.

I liked all of those, especially since I actually remember them. Hush was interesting but it made my head hurt.
