First of all, I don´t necessary think this, but it´s always interesting to know others opinions.

And I mean a writter as a whole, not only the Batman character, but the stories, the city and the villains, supporting characters.

or top 25 is too much?

Well, technically he only wrote three Batman stories. Don't get me wrong they were amazing, but part of me thinks that to be in the top ten best list he would have to have written more. Then again Miller only wrote two (DKR and DKSA), plus the unfinished All Star Batman & Robin, only one of which was any good., and he's often in the top 5 of people's favorite Bat-writers (not mine). So, yea, Nolan probably would make my list.

    Top 25 sure.

I mean, people praise the hell out of people that have more misses that hits with the character.

But it would be more like putting all the team that wrote those movies.

No. He hasn't written any real new material, but has inspired a lot of his stories on books. Then half of Batman begins is borring. Two-face in The dark knight is a mess. Bane's story from The dark knight rises is so disapointing compared to the book. The thing that made the movies good were the actors and theire good performances (at least Batman, The Joker and Bane). For all that, I can't consider Nolan as a good writter. It might also be why his trilogy as no follow-up and that there will be another reboot of Batman.

@william300: Miller has also writter Year one ! I'm not a big fan of Miller either but after having re-read his TDKR, it's hard to find 25 writters that are better than him.

he´s in the top 10 for bb and dk. they are some of the best batman stories, but so was tim burton, and so was the guy who wrote the animated series. that´s why bats is so popular, his movies, cartoons have been damn near as good as his comics. the same can´t be said of any other superhero. it´s sad.

Easily but as I understand Goyer and Jonathan Nolan were responsible for the stories and the screen play.

I would say the three colaborated at some point

but Nolan being the "mastermind" behind all.
