This never seemed to really make sense to me.

The idea of batman being uber prepared and having contigency plans was an aspect of the character far before Morrison took the reigns.

What feats did Morrison have Batman do that made him stand apart as Batgod?

Killing Darkseid? He used a special gun and bullet...it wasn't that impressive. Escaping being buried alive? He has escaped out of similar situations before. Zur en Arh? That was a new twist but it fit in perfectly with the batman mythos and was an excellent addition...it demonstrates how he is prepared and the extent...not godlike or out of character at all.

I just don't get where the distinction comes from.

He didn't kill Darkseid. To be clear he dealt him a serious injury, then the Flashes dealt him another by leading the Black Racer to him, and then Superman finished him off. Just nitpicking.

In terms of Batgod, all I can think of is Zur-En-Arrh. May have to go back and look through some trades to see if there's anything else.

Meh. Darkseid may have died anyway. At a minimum, he killed darkseid with accomplices.

In the first Morrison JLA story, we see the various members of the League struggle and eventually succumb to the White Martians of the Hyperclan. Then we have Batman, by the WM leader considered beneath his notice (since he's just a man in a suit), who then takes down three on his own with a little gasoline and a matchbook.

Later you actually have Wally and Kyle making fun of new additions to the League when they underestimate Batman, while at other times immediately turn to him for answers.

Doubt it, especially as the Flash dealt him another wound directly after. Darkseid ended up transcending his physical shell and was perfectly fine anyways. Superman killed him.

The first bs started with Superman than there was the ''2nd'' bs with batman... Watch out, soon enought its will be announced, Darkseid will take the job of Christian Cage.

That's your interpretation, which is fair enough. I don't think anything would have happened with the bullet batman fired though. IMO, Superman just speeded up what was happening anyway.
