People often ask me why I hate Batman. So I am here to tell you exactly why.

Batman is overrated, his fanboys up play him to be super human, when in reality he is a self-absorbed a$$! He doesn't kill his villains because of his moralcode, when in reality its not about you. Its for the good of the people. I read a thread in which his fanboys said that he would loses to Mr.Fantastic, come on, how could a man become so popular when even his back story makes no sense, how could he become a master of over a hundred different martial arts. From what I've gathered his parents died when he was about 8, if that is true, even it he started training right then he never would have been to master every martial art known to man.

I will posting more on the subject but I have to go. If any one else hates the Bat. Please state in this forum.

An "I hate Batman" forum?I'm not hearing any constructive criticism here. Your saying it's not possible to master a hundred martial arts. Well maybe us Humans can't but Bruce Wayne lives in a comic book world where he isn't restricted by the limitations we humans have. His story shouldn't cause any confusion.

You can't hate Batman it just doesn't work. His superfans are annoying though.

One does not simply hate the Batman.

I hate him because of Bruce Timm, Frank Miller, and Grant Morrison.  
 

1. Bruce Timm because he isn't mature enough to produce without injecting fanboyism.  
2. Frank Miller because of his "If you don't hate Superman and love Batman then your not a real Batman fan" ideal that ruins Superman
3. and Grant because of batgod. 

Is it against the rules for me to express my dislike for a character. No it isn't. I don't like Superman either he has way to many powers. But atleast he has power to beat guys on par or stronger then him. Batman is a guy who dwells on the past. Always thinking of ways to kill an enemy (the joker HUSH) but yets to act upon the urges, you won't kill the guy who killed your partner with a crowbar because of your moral code. How is he cool. I actually have a tattoo of Bane breaking Batman back. It was literally my favorite moment of a villain giving it to the hero.

Eh. I find most of his fans annoying as fudge. Other than that he's okay. I'm not a fan of the whole Dark and Brooding concept either, but whatever.

batman has a lighter tone to him too, just check out batman brave and the bold.

The word fanboy used to mean overzealous fan of a character. Now it just means people that disagree with me.

batmans awesome, but i just dont like how writers and fanboys pumped him up to the point where he can beat every superhero in the dc universe. and how fanboys come annd say "OOH SUPERMANS GAY BATMAN CAN BEAT SUPERMAN WITH 5 MINS OF PREP"!!!

As far as I'm concerned, Batman is the most interesting hero to read about. I find almost everything about him, his villains, his allies, and Gotham City to be incredibly fascinating.

That being said, while Batman is definately a formidable foe, it is going too far to say that he can easily beat any other hero or villain.

Now, despite the fact that there is a population of people who say "Batman can beat anyone! He's amazing! Everyone else sucks!", it's not really fair to hate Batman as a character because of that. I mean, there are tons of characters in comics who have a fanbase claiming that he or she is superior to all others and can easily kill anyone they come across.

And as far as Batman's mastery of martial arts being illogical goes, the OP speaks as if this is an uncommon occurrance. Several characters (in comics, movies, TV, literature etc) as spoken about as if they know 100s of different fighting styles. Illogical or not, they're characters of fiction. Batman exists in the same universe as a man who can telepathically control fish, a woman whose scream can kill a man, and an amazon princess with super strength. If we can respect that their abilities border on the fantastic then it's only fair to respect that one of Batman's greatest strengths is his mastery of hand-to-hand combat.

to me batman is just not a relatable superhero because hes a billionaire playboy which is the opposite of what i am, hes a genuis at everything, hes dark and brooding im no. he has cool stories like the court of owls stuff, but i just couldnt relate to the charecter like i can superman and spiderman,i read batman just for robin because robins awesome

I would imagine you are a racist. Disliking Batman because of him being dissimilar in nature to you.

In a personal tone, he is a vigilante, believing that he is helping the city, driven by the loss of his parents and the subsequent difficult and secluded life the he led.

i like batman because of the whole modern day ninja vibe. that and he always seems to come out on top . as for dark and brooding , i like stories where the hero doesn't always have a happy ending (its what made me HATE superman) my taste in stories has changed drastically over the years so i can read stories that end on a good note and the dark tone and somber ending type. as for not liking batman bc he knows 101 ways to kick @$$ thats just envy talking , he is the comicverse's chuck norris , on paper just a regular dude who kicks people in the face as seen by the general public fans and non-fans alike he makes hulk wet himself . =p

I'm a Batman fan but there are other heroes I like more. There are things I like about him and some things that I don't. I admire his detective and fighting abilities, and I don't like his constant brooding. I still like reading his books because I like reading mystery stories and that's what the majority of his books are.

He is kind of depressing.

He doesn't master every martial art, only 129 of them.

No, he's not a fanboy. That was indeed a grammar fail, I have no idea what you were trying to say.

You say it's impossible to master 127 different styles of martial arts... it's a comic book. If realism is really what your looking for, find a different hobby. Batman's martial arts is FAR, I say FAAARR from the most unrealistic thing in comics.

Batman is overrated

Word overrated is overrated EVERYBODY uses it for EVERYTHING ______- is overrated and blah blah :S Nowdays everything good has been called overrated

True most superfans of batman are annoying but the same can be said for any superfan for any super hero but none the less Batman is an awesome character and him refusing to kill because of a moral code is awesome. If he killed the man who killed his parents or if he killed the joker for killing jason todd how would he be any diffenrt from them.

@Oni Bane: You hate Batman so much you have a tattoo of him? I hate Jar Jar Binks but I'd never get a tattoo of him getting thrown in the Sarlac pit. (Though I wouldn't mind having a poster or t shirt of it.) To me, if you have a tattoo of something, that means you have that on your skin, forever. I would never want to look at my butt in the mirror everyday and see Jar Jar.

Batman is probably the most well written character in DC. I am more of a fan of the street level heroes, so I admit I am biased toward people like Batman or Red Hood. I also thinks it's absurd to deem Batman, "unbeatable". He has lost to others heroes just as often as he has beat them. As for Batman's gritty attitude, I think it's fits perfectly. In fact, i think he should be even darker. No jokes. No puns. That's the way I like my heroes, conflicted and dark.
