Gotham was disappointing to me. I actually wanted a TV show with the Batman character in it; against Batman rogues. Arrow has already taken rogues from Batman (though, I still like Arrow to be fair).

Will we ever get a serious live-action BATMAN TV show?

No, they are too lazy/cheap. They will give us a show with everyone in it, except batman.

Well we've got Gothan and Batman is a kid there. In few years he can grow to an adult and give us the perfect batman show ^_^

Jokes aside, I would love a live action Batman show, hopefully we get one soon enough.

One day I hope, we can get a Batman show on HBO, showing his training. Of course, a live action Batman show would also be amazing, but it seems like DC doesn't want to have a character on TV if they have a movie. The only exception to that is Superman Returns being released while Smallville was on the air, and that's probably because he wasn't in costume on the show.

Actually, Zack Snyder is casting another actor for Flash in his upcoming Justice League part 1 movie in 2017 (officially confirmed). He did this because it's a different Flash to the one in the CW series; so that's an example of TV/movie versions co-existing at the same time (I am making the assumption CW Flash will still be around by 2017 though).

HBO would be great. That could deliver top notch drama. So could AMC. I'd steer it away from CW and Fox though.

@frozen: Oh yeah, I forgot about that. So I guess we can have hope after all.

Although, there seems to be some strange policy against Batman on TV...Smallville wasn't allowed to use him, and neither is Arrow/Flash.

I'd rather Batman just stick to movies in my honest opinion.

I don't think so. Batman is by far WB's most profitable product, they're holding that franchise very close to their chest.

I'd love to watch a Sherlock/Breaking Bad type Batman show with 90 minutes long episodes. I was actually thinking WB could do a Batman show where each story is different from the other and doesn't take place in the same timeline/universe (like Arkham Asylum : ASHOSE in one episode then Red Rain or Gotham by Gaslight in the other episodes), with each episode having a new actor as Batman and other characters. It has to be R rated though. WB can keep making PG 13 movies for kids and GP.

I know! Isn't it like Batman Unlimited or something? lol

Truth be told though, I wish all the live action shows right now were cartoons.

Gotham will eventually turn into a full blown Batman show..there's only so much you can do with a 12 year old Bruce Wayne. I say by season 3, Bruce puts on the cowl, and that season will be based on Year One. The next season will focus more on Batman developing as a vigilante.

When I become a Hollywood Exec.

I'll also have Gotham done right, more like 'The Sopranos' meets 'The Wire', with Cobblepot, Sionis, Falcone, Bertinelli and Maroni acting as the, 'five families' of Gotham, with Harvey Bullock as the main character, notGordon. It picks up about 7 years after the death of the Waynes and Gotham is in deep sh*t. No Bruce, no Selina.

Thenin around season 5, start a new show which has Batman travelling the world learning different trades. Then in season 5 of that show, Batman shows up in Gotham and the next season would chronicle Batman: Year One. Each series would just be mini-series of about 10 episodes though on HBO.

So probably about 25 years - never.
