Assuming that someone else killed him, or the Joker accidentally did himself in somehow (since Batman has a thing against murder)- How would Batman react? I don't think that he would be too torn up, but wouldn't his life be kind of empty now with the Joker gone? Since they have such a yin and yang relationship- one without the other is meaningless. He'd *probably* finish off the rest of the villains somehow and take down remaining schemes relatively easily since his nemesis had been defeated. Then he'd leave the rest to the police, finally setting aside his alter-ego once the city didn't need him anymore.. But being a superhero is so ingrained into his psyche, Bruce Wayne IS Batman at this point. What on earth would he do without that? Pardon me if my line of reasoning is askew, and my sentences choppy, I'm sort of thinking out loud here and fairly new to these boards.
TL;DR:
1) What would Batman do without the Joker?
2) What would Bruce Wayne do without Batman?
