He wrote the best Riddler story I've ever read. Before that Riddler was a joke to me. I have mixed feelings about his joker but after a character has been written by Alan Moore and Grant Morrison, anyone to write them after that is pretty unlucky but for the most part his Joker has been received fairly well. What other Bat-Villain do you think Snyder would write well.

I think scarecrow is too obvious a choice so let's eliminate him from the answers.

Personally I prefer the villains he's created over his take on the more classic foes. I really enjoyed the Court of Owls and the Talons, and my favourite was James Gordon Jr. (granted Snyder didn't technically create the character).

So, I'd rather see him continue to add new villains than revisit the old ones.

If you want a NEW well written villain, go for Snyder

if you want a Classic well written character, go for Johns

My opinion on Snyder has really turned around since Zero Year, I legitimately enjoy his work now. I'd like to see him write a Mad Hatter arc,he'd do wonders for a character like that,Tetch is right up Snyders alley.

On a more personal level I'd be interested to see what he could do with Bane, his prose heavy,reflective style could give Bane much needed depth that's been missing since the reboot,plus Bane needs consistency as well. Either he wrecking everyone as seen in TDK,Talon and Arkham War or getting wrecked (Batwoman,Eternal,Batgirl futures end).

I want a full Clayface arc, not just the 2-parter we got. Snyder might as well take a crack at Ivy as well, because she hasn't done much in the New 52. First she was a hero, then she was a part-time villain, and now she just hangs around with Harley doing nothing in particular.

@theacidskull: I disliked Joker in DOTF because I felt Snyder was not writing Joker. That character was superficial in every sense of the word, however Black Mirror showed that Snyder is fully capable of writing a good Joker which made DOTF baffle me even more. He's been good so far in Endgame,I dont think Snyder will actually go ahead and make him a proper demon but there will be a big twist imo,one that will have fans talking and most likely divide them,that much I'm almost certain of. Snyder has done this in every story he's written for Batman.

A Two face story (Isn´t he dead? ) or Bane story would be interesting.

Her arc should be called "A Joke[r] or Two" since of course Joker himself should be in it to examine their relationship - I don't think that's been properly done yet and Snyder would be perfect for it. Since Snyder likes to do long story lines, it would be quite the epic. Throw in Harley Quinn for the perfect ménage à trois.

A Bane story would be cool but only if:

a) CIA is in it

or

b) Lincoln March gets retconned to being Bane and Bruce forgives him and they become a crime fighting duo fighting as tag team wrestlers.

I would really like to see him write Bane properly. Which would mean to write a proper 5 or 6 issue story arc with him in the main Batman book that makes Bane a deep character as he was before the reboot.

Yeah I thought so, I read that arc long ago but I think it didn´t left me a great impression on me. Any way characters revive in comics every two seconds, maybe Snyder could revive Two face.

The Phantasm would be an interesting story or Prometheus. I want to see Snyder be able to write two different geniuses on opposing sides without one of them being over the top insane.

Ra's al Ghul. Snyder villains are always smart and I think he would do Ra's justice.

For classic villains - Mad Hatter or Mister Freeze. Not much has been done with either of these two characters since the New 52 started (has anything been done with Hatter?), and I can imagine Snyder doing something fun with them.

We're going to see more of Lincoln March in the next few months considering the last issue of Eternal all but confirmed he's the mastermind (for realsies this time).

When he writes an existing, well known villain, he tends to screw with their origin for the worse (Joker, Freeze, possibly more I'm not remembering).

When he writes an original villain, he tends to shoehorn them in to the back story of other main characters, which I don't like.

I'd like him to write a villain that isn't original, and isn't overly popular, which I don't think he has done just yet.

Since Snyder is good at horror stuff, I'd like to see him write a vampire story with Monk and Dala.

Or alternatively, try writing a relatively obscure villain like Dr. Tzin-Tzin. As MuyJingo stated above, he's not so hot at writing existing, popular villains or creating original characters.
