Countless times have I seen threads asking for recommended Batman storylines and lists displaying essential reading, so I thought it would be interesting to find out what Viners consider to be the worst contributions to Batman's ever-growing library.

Feel free to share your views on what Batman-related books to avoid and prevent fellow Viners the agony of having to read through garbage. Unpopular opinions are welcome, but just remember to keep it civil.

@primepower53: If Widening Gyre is the tale from Kevin Smith where Batman admits to wetting his pants during the legendary Year One scene, then I can definitely agree that it needs to be avoided entirely.

Avoid the current Batman Dark Knight story line until it gets better. Don't support horrible writing to get your Batman fix.

well, its basically some stories from Batman's early days (at least the 3 issues I got of that series were focused on it). Don't ask me how many times Bats gets shot in that series. Its really ridiculous!

I'm new to the comic book world, so this is a very helpful forum. Thankfully I haven't yet come across any Batman that should have been avoided :/
