I've NEVER seen this costume before, but I have to say that I freaking dig the shoulder-pads.
Batman
Character » Batman appears in 23647 issues.
Bruce Wayne, who witnessed the murder of his billionaire parents as a child, swore to avenge their deaths. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, mastering martial arts, detective skills, and criminal psychology. Costumed as a bat to prey on the fears of criminals, and utilizing a high-tech arsenal, he became the legendary Batman.
What era Batman is this?

The spiked shoulders were really popular in the early 90s.
really love how some of the 90's artist would draw the bat.
@cosmo111687 said:I assume it's from JLA volume 3, this is probably the time Bruce turned Prometheus into Stephen Hawking.
Cheers guys. Also, LOL at your comment CB.The spiked shoulders were really popular in the early 90s.
Thoughts on the costume?
@Morpheus_: That's because Batman > the other 29 on those disk. Obviously. His way of putting down Wally defies belief. Telling him that bombs would go off if Wally moved faster than a normal person involves writing Flash (any Flash) terribly out of character. It worked because apparently while this whole emergency was taking place Wally never used his speed for anything so he apparently couldn't risk Prom being right. Just before he first meets Prom, he's shown walking alongside Kyle. When's the last time Wally actually walked during a conflict situation?
Depends on the artist,Andy Kubert draws the modern batsuit with such spikes/pads.I LOVE THOSE,this is why Kubert is my favourite Batman artist.

I think the pads looked better while drawn by more stylized artists like Scott McDaniel. I'll have to look up for a scan but I liked it even more when he was drawing.
Me dislike his art.

@CitizenBane: LOL, at least Batman > Shiva, given how "well" Sandra did against faux Prom. I was more irked with the manner in which he took down J'onn, honestly. The Manhunter just stood there and got hit with a dart that caused him to spontaneously combust, instead of either dodging, or turning intangible. But all those situations seem like the most feasible writing in the world in comparison to some of the things Prometheus did during CfJ.
Supergirl, Starfire, Firestorm, Donna Troy, Zatanna, Jay Garrick, Hal Jordan, Vixen, Dr. Light and Red Tornado all at once. And then he gets killed by freakin' Green Arrow to couple his Catwoman embarrassment.

@entropy_aegis: I'm into Breyfogle's bat art at the moment.
Yeah he and Nolan drew the best Bane.
@Morpheus_ said:
@entropy_aegis: The guy who penciled the sewer fight between Bane and Croc drew my favourite Bane (and probably my favourite Croc). Even though I'd want to see Nguyen having a crack at Bane, I liked his style in some covers in which he drew him.
Jim Balent and yeah he was awesome,he drew most of the first Catwoman ongoing.Norm is actually working with DC currently,the fact he's not drawing Bane makes me wanna cry.
@Morpheus_ said:
@entropy_aegis: It's fun reading through the history of the Bat writers and artists, with some better coloring for the art in particular the artwork of the era could easily stand up to most of the current artists.
Why isn't Norm doing some more work?
I'll honestly take Balent,Nolan,Aparo,Breyfogle Bane anyday over Finch Bane,Broom Bane or Deodato Bane(though I like Deodato overall).
He is drawing Justice League Beyond,what a waste.

@entropy_aegis: But not Luvisi's Bane. But I really liked Broom's Bane, the cover to Batman # 571 is just great.
I had noticed the book, but not the creative team.
I disliked Broom's Bane,reminded me of Rob Liefield,Luvisi never drew him outside of cover art did he?

@entropy_aegis said:LOL, Liefeld is in a league of his own.I disliked Broom's Bane,reminded me of Rob Liefield,Luvisi never drew him outside of cover art did he?
Yes, Luvisi has not drawn him in anything but covers, but his renditions were stellar.
I wonder what Liefield was thinking when he drew that ridiculous Captain America pic.
