Right now, there's voting going on for a new ComicVine segment called CV's Character of the Month. Whichever character wins the poll will get a month of articles on the front page devoted to them, from what I understand. This is the first such poll, and so whoever wins will be the first character highlighted. It should rightfully be Batman. Why?

Because we deserve it.

We've put up with a lot of crap over the last year or so. Batman's next movie in 2016 has Superman, Wonder Woman and Cyborg in it. Why? It should be a solo movie. Superman has THREE ongoings now. He doesn't even need three! Two could easily be scrapped for more Batman books. Nightwing and Talon were both cancelled, after all. Shazam and the Metal Men are getting movies? Why? Batman's the one who should be getting movies. We haven't had a solo Batman movie in almost two years. Now we're supposed to wait till what, 2019? DC has NO RESPECT for a character that makes them so much money, and especially not for the fans who give them all that money. Why else would Beware the Batman be returning at such a nonsensical timeslot?

There's three more days of voting, but Batman is currently losing to Spider-Man. This is primarily because of a lot of misplaced sympathy for Peter Parker, a wretched manchild who is making a lukewarm return to life after displacing Otto Octavius (a REAL hero who got things done) from his job. I cannot fault the mob for letting their hearts rule their minds, but I can appeal to the Batman fandom; that constant, unwavering assembly of enlightened sophisticates. You should go vote for Batman. Send a strong message to DC. WE WILL NOT BE IGNORED. Batman movies now. Batman Character of the Month now.

And even then Jason Todd is being written quite well now and even if you don't like Todd at least he's consistent. One of the X-men's most popular characters is both an honorable samurai and a feral beast, a trained killer and peace seeking school headmaster. Plus Hank kinda brings down the X-men quality by a ton.

Already voted for the Batclan on principle. Also: Batclan are all bonafide bad***es of the highest order. The X-Men have only one real bad***, and he's on loan to five or six other teams.
