As evidenced at the end of the Free Comic Book Day issue from DC Comics, the future of Batmanafter the clash between Darkseid and the Anti-Monitor looks "godly". Is Batman sitting in Metron'sMobius Chair? Judging by the wording from the FCBD, it appears that Batman will become a New God.

The obvious next step is for Batman to become the next Superman.

Can't dc just tell good batman stories again without shaking up the status quo every other issue. Snyder's ability to tell stories is being hindered by the constant changes. Dc is focusing on shock value to much in my opinion.

@the_kidd: I am talking about how dc's current culture of status quo changes is making Snyder change his own book every few issues. Sorry I should have explained what I meant. But seriously court of owls was a good basic batman story, death of the family has a overhyped book focused on changing the bat family, zero year was another year one story but it was solid, endgame was all about changing the status quo.

@redleader1: It was Snyder's decision to kill off Bruce, he said he was going to finish up his run at issue 40 and then DC announced they wanted to five creators freedom post convergence to tell the stories they want. Snyder wanted Gordon Batman, DC went along with it they didn't pitch the idea themselves.

So id Marvel, but it sells, they have no reason to change this.

@deathfalcon182: I know that but what I mean is that they have created this era where writers feel like changing the status quo constantly. Its not that dc told him to do that but rather that dc and its writers are all doing this and its causing everyone at dc to constantly think they need to change it up every few issues.
