I think he should be the same age, or maybe a little older than Clark. That way, he could have been operating as Batman for a couple of years before the events of the new movie, but more as an urban legend.

So many possible choices.

You can go the British route since Supes (and Bale) is already a Limey...

Or go smart cause he's the best detective....

Or just go with the American badass with tons of martial art skills and experience with martial arts films...

Or you could pick a good actor with experience with being dark and emo and all that

Or just go with a seasoned actor who can draw audiences no matter what...

Well unfortunately they made superman kinda dull in the the new one (not a laugh in it), and batman is a stoic character, ugh they will need a bad guy with some charisma

They'll probably cast in roughly the 30-40 age range, if that's what you're asking. Same basic range as Marvel is casting for their actors.

the only problem with Armie is almost every movie he is in fails which is sad because he is a great actor, Maybe Batman would be a role that could work for him. The loan ranger did not do as well as the studio thought it would, and because of his track record warner might be hisitant on casting him, But i feel he could do a good job.

I don't think there is an ideal actor, or we would all have the same one in mind. I hope with the new movie they use a stunt double for action scenes, because then they can hire a good actor for the talking and stuff.

I'd prefer an older guy who looks grizzled and seasoned rather than a young pretty boy. My current picks are either Tom Jane or Jon Hamm.
