Usually, a movie with 1,000 to 2,000 votes get's a rating that high. But I looked at the IMDB page and the film has 83,910 votes. This movie's rating has topped the previous Batman movies and even equals The Godfather. That's pretty damn high for a Batman movie.

All TDKR doubters and Burton fanboys can shove this up their ass.Shove what? An entirely arbitrary score based on popular vote which in no reflects the actual quality of the movie? Wow, you sure showed them!
lol. 12 Angry Men is still a better movie than TDKR! Yea!
@comicdude23: Been to the doctors a while ago and got fiberscoped, your point?
its a good movie at best 7/10 because they killed off my favorite character
I felt it was better than The Dark Knight, but then I didn't like The Dark Knight.
Still, it doesn't deserve to be on par with the Godfather.

I was more of a fan of Batman Begins. The Joker in the Dark Knight didn't feel like The Joker, he felt more like Two-Face to be honest. There was none of the abstract craziness I've come to expect from the Joker, and most of the significant plotline was based around Two choices: choosing between two people, or choosing between two boats.
I felt that they added the Joker in slightly more than they would have had Heath ledger not died, and seeing as I didn't like the Joker I always think about how I would have enjoyed it more had he not died.
@Rumble Man:
Thank you for being more understanding than most people when I speak my opinion about The Dark Knight.

I didn't really think it was THAT good in all honestly. Batman Begins was better. The Dark Knight was much better.
7 out of ten,maybe 8 would be a fair score for me.
I rated it 10/10. TDK was a little better, BB has no chance.

They can shove 119085 votes. Yeah, I showed them alright.
@Pwok21: Ledger put his own twist on The Joker. You see, I felt the 1989 Joker wasn't really crazy. Ledger's Joker was a good twist.
@comicdude23:
Can't say it was a twist I liked to be honest, it isn't how I would imagine the Joker from reading the comics.
Bane's twist worked for me, just not the Joker's.

I get where your coming from but the Joker used in TDK was right. It was the exact Joker that could psychologically break Batman.
@comicdude23:
I agree that he could 'break the Bat' but I just don't see that character as 'The Joker'.
