If they make a new one. Should it be exactly like the comics? Would it actually work?
Batman
Character » Batman appears in 23651 issues.
Bruce Wayne, who witnessed the murder of his billionaire parents as a child, swore to avenge their deaths. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, mastering martial arts, detective skills, and criminal psychology. Costumed as a bat to prey on the fears of criminals, and utilizing a high-tech arsenal, he became the legendary Batman.
Should a Batman movie be EXACTLY like the comics?
not EXACTLY like the comics but it could still work if they made a film that was less realistic than Nolan's films....just look at the Marvel movies...they didn't strive for realism and they worked just fine...I don't see why we can't have a Batman in a grey and black suit the looks less like dirt bike armor
Ofcourse not exactly. But it would be nice if the next Batman was at least someone closer to the source material than his predecessors. I would want, like Danhimself above said, if the film didn't "strive" for realism. I'm not looking for a fantasy film but allow for a more comic book-like Batman.
Agreed, and where we can have villains like Mister Freeze, Poison Ivy, Killer Croc, etc.not EXACTLY like the comics but it could still work if they made a film that was less realistic than Nolan's films....just look at the Marvel movies...they didn't strive for realism and they worked just fine...I don't see why we can't have a Batman in a grey and black suit the looks less like dirt bike armor

Exactly.
I'm pretty sure Nolan's movies used a lot of material from the comics(story telling perspective),or does being close to the comics=fugly mutants and pretty costumes?
Batman is too perfect a character,he's half of the main Avengers line up by himself.A character like him written by a less capable writer or a moron could easily end up making him someone like Chuck Norris or some cheesy action hero.
I wouldn't think that it would work well. There are too many things in the comics that might be a little hard for normal movie goes to get.
Some aspects would definitely improve the films - from a comic book fan's perspective.
I felt that the Nolan films failed to properly capture the Batman personality on the big-screen.
if they're going to tie the future Batman movies into a Justice League universe then they'll have to make them more like the comics...there is no way that you can have characters like Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter running around with a Nolanesqe Batman
No, but i want a much more badass fighting Batman, i want some truely awesome martial arts battles, also i would like to see a Batman who is actually shown to be one of the smartest men on the planet while also being a crazy fighter.
Make some fights like Captain America had.

they should just scrap the Nolan Batman and completely reboot it.they should have robin in it, and show batman using more gadgets, detective skills, and fighting a villian like Mr.Freeze
No thanks.

No, it's a separate format.
Rehashing the same story is, by and large, a lazy feat.
This,SO MUCH THIS.
great great, just asking cus' you never know, you know... :) a decent amount of people here, i think dont like the Nolan movies :)
I'd like to see a Batman that moves like the batman from the comics/cartoon series. I know the movies have all fallowed with the "Tim Burton Armor" but I'd like to see something different. The movies never gave me sense that Batman was a master of several fighting styles. The armor limited his movements and took away a lot from the character. Lets see a new take on it.

Don't think Robin or Freeze would really work.
@comicdude23: ya they could if used right they could, if DC is going to make a more comic book based batman there going to have to put robin in there eventually he's a big part of the bat comics and not as some cop like in the nolan movies the legit tights wearing robin, he could be an older age like 16, and his tragic story wil go with the darker tone of the movie, i actually have a cool idea on how he could be used that stays true to the comics and pleases robin fans like me. Mr.Freeze could actually work if used correctly. he has an interesting story and motive, his powers and intellect would be a challenge to batman, and he has henchmen that could fight batman. I see him as the perfect villian to use if there making a more comic booky batman.
As much as I love Nolan's films and the Batman universe he contained in them, I kinda miss seeing a live action "comic-like" Batman. The Arkham video game series of games really made me realize how much I still like the comic Batman and makes me kinda wish that the next series of films could somehow be more like they are. Even something live action and with a similar tone to The Animated Series would be pretty awesome. Now Schumacher showed the deep end of that idea and took it way too far, and Burton was close but still too much of his style was seen. But I think if they could get some good writing and try and give it a similar tone that TAS and Arkham Asylum/City had, it could end up being pretty cool.

But Mr Freeze lacks a story that has not been done to the death a million times over, and if he lacks a story then there is no point in using him.
The only change I want is an actual martial artist in the suit the fights in all the Batman movies just sucked to me.
@entropy_aegis: the non-comic book crowd doesnt know who he is if you ask someone the last time they saw mr.freeze they'll say its when the terminator played him. Nearly every batman villians story has been done over and over again. Mr.Freeze is actually one of my favorite villians

No Poison Ivy,Mad Hatter and Penguin could be done differently,Freeze is the same predictable mess of a character that he was 20 years ago.I understand if he's one of your favorite villains but that does'nt make him a good character,no shame I like some crappy ones too.
If it was exactly like the comics, then people who already read the story...just makes it redundant when you watch it kinda...

Why does Mr Freeze suck?

Fair enough. Yeah, he hasn't really developed much, has he?
