We have to wait for more information on BATMAN ETERNAL but today, on Twitter, Scott Snyder teased with a piece of art by Jason Fabok.

Scott's tweet:

Ok! Some seriously easter-egg heavy (turkey day) BATMAN ETERNAL art by @JasonFabok! Lots of clues in this one!

How many clues can you find? What's up with those bones? Notice the robin on Titus? Does that owl in the tree mean more of the Court of Owls? Who's sitting next to Tim? (We can assume the person in the purple hoodie is Stephanie Brown). Still no sign of Dick Grayson...

He's probably gonna die in Forever Evil...damn you possible spoilers...

Wait, so first they drag Batman through Court of Owls, THEN through Death of the Family, THEN kill his only blood related son, AND NOW THEY MIGHT KILL HIS FIRST SON?!

What, are they putting out so many Bat titles they have to make comic blood sacrifices to keep them all afloat?!

That looks like Harper Row sitting on Tim's right side but I'm really curious about the blonde kid on the right. Is that maybe Harper's brother? I haven't seen him in a while so I don't remember what he looks like.

Good to see Harvey Bullock on there. Maybe we'll get to see more of the Bat-family rather than just Batman. :)

I really am looking forward to this series. I just hope its $2.99/comic instead of $3.99/comic because, even though its still a lot of money per month its slightly better.

erm, where is Nightwing?? This is the second Batman Eternal book that is missing Nightwing - scary times :(

I actually thought the blond guy was Dick. Figured he'd change his appearance or something.

Whose behind Red Hood in far left? (James Gordon Jr???)

Is That The Fortress of Solitude in the background?

Theres an Owl in the tree, but we see no Talon

Whose the blond guy in the mask next to Red Robin?

Jason Todds back....With the Zero Year Red Hood

Somethings in the bowl next to Batman

Why are some of them sitting

Whys there a ball

Whats Proffesor Pyg holding. They're not Knives O.o

AND WHY WHAT IS ALFRED DOING TO THAT POOR INNOCENT TURKEY O>O

@krazycrab: it looks like there are TWO sets of skeletons at least based on the rib cages. I also count 5 skulls. And what's that I spy in the background in the water??? And who's to say that it's Bruce under the cowl?

Hopefully he doesn't die by bumping his head on a f*cking rock like in Injustice.

Nah I wouldn't take so much stock in those rumours. They've just killed off Damian Wayne so to kill off another member of the Bat Family would make for a repetitive cycle of Bruce grieving again. I think it's much more likely that they'll relaunch Dick's book in a new secret identity both costumed and personal since Nightwing and Dick Grayson are well known to the public. Don't jump to conclusions too quickly my friend. Even though I share your apprehension for Dick's fate as he's in my top 10 favourite characters, he's not likely to die IMO.

Didn't they say that they were bringing Stephanie Brown back? I'm guessing she's the purple hoodie close to Tim.

I assumed that was Penguin's floating casino. The Iceberg Lounge.

Your probably right I was just thinking with the Batman/Superman series that it might be linked

@patrat18: He could always die in the second to last issue.

Yeah, I thought the same.

Yeah I have heard that too. I originally thought maybe Harper Row's brother (I forget what color his hair is since I haven't seen him in a while), then I realized that it might be Calvin or Dick. Pleasepleaseplease let it be Dick Grayson's new secret identity. :)

What's Barman Eternal again?

Weekly Batman ongoing series by a rotating set of writers (and I would assume artists too). Scott Snyder is going to be like the overseeing writer and then Tynion and a few other writers are going to be rotating. Jason Fabok is gonna be the artist at least for the first arc. Its also going to introduce Stephanie Brown in the New 52 and bring Tim into the Bat-family a bit more.

#28 Posted by anthonyhillman (18 posts) - - Show Bio

Can we just skip the awful and get on to the part where we all forget Joker's Daughter ever existed, please?

Other than that character's inclusion, though, that's some interesting artwork, and should provide enough speculation to tide us over for a little while.

Nite-wing?

#30 Edited by JonSmith (3987 posts) - - Show Bio

If anyone wants to hear my opinion Nightwing dyes his hair, which means he's the blonde guy behind Tim. :3 I don't know, it's very hard to see

I can see it, he is wearing a mask similar to Nightwing's. Though whose the girl in black sitting next to Tim? In between him and Stephanie? I want to say it's Harper, but the black hair and suit bear just enough resemblance for me to hope it's Cassandra Cain, though I know it's nigh impossible.

#32 Posted by Dud317 (286 posts) - - Show Bio

@g_man: think about the name Batman Eternal. Maybe Dick is in the cowl. Perhaps the idea of Eternal is the same concept in the Nolanverse in that it doesn't have to be Bruce, anyone can be Batman.

@jonsmith: That's definitely Harper Row. The purple streak in her hair gives her away. Also, I believe that's the same outfit she wore in the Tec issue she was in.

Ah, didn't see that before. On the upside, my hopes didn't get any further up. On the downside, I still want Cassandra back. Why bring back Stephanie but not Cassandra? Steph wouldn't be half the fighter, or the Batgirl she was without Cass' training.

Professor Pyg is holding a set of toy trains.

I thought the ice in the background was a reference to Mr. Freeze, but that is probably too obvious.

Yep that Jason Todd is back, but that isn't the Zero Year Red Hood. That is Tiger Shark from Snyders detective comics run.

It isn't Gordon Jr. in the far right as the man in the far right is a black man. Lucius Fox maybe? but why with Tiger Shark?

What i want to know is who are the two women inbetween Batwing and Catwoman. Who are the two men with Tiger Shark?

Why is Alfred wearing a strait Jacket?

I asked about the women too, and I completely forgot about Tiger Shark. Noticed the straight jacket on Alfred, and I'm also pretty sure Gordon's wearing handcuffs.

The two men with Tiger Shark might be Rupert Thorne and Roadrunner.

I would like to know who the two women are as well

As for Batwoman's ring being on the wrong hand, this might explain it

An engagement ring normally goes to the right hand on the finger that is next to the small one, especially in European communities. In the US, the ring is placed on the left hand. However, it is important to note that the traditions vary with different communities.

While the the wedding ring goes on the ring finger (or finger in between the pinkie and the middle finger) on your left hand, because it was believed that a vein in that finger lead to the heart. but again, it is important to note that the traditions vary with different communities.

Dick is gonna make a deal with Neron to erase everyone's memories about him being Nightwing and in exchange,mNeron will take his love from Barbara Gordon.

yeah I just noticed the handcuffs on Gordon (I have seen a much larger picture elsewhere and can see things more clearly.

could be Thorne and Roadrunner. Actually I think after going back and checking my copy of Black Mirror that it is Roadrunner.

I am not sure about the continued push of Jokers' Daughter over other more worthwhile villians who have been neglected.

It also looks as though the masked person sat next to Tim has a bandage on so it could be a recovering Nightwing.

I see a blonde dude next to Tim, is that DICK?????

@animehunter: Thanks! I'm just thinking there might be more to it than that since they went out of their way to draw attention to the ring.

I love me some Tiger Shark :]

I bet Alfred went crazy due to Joker Venom

I wonder where the Goth girl is from The Court of Owls (I forget her name)
