@xBIGjakeX360: That was the point of Robin, to be a distraction from the true threat Batman. And the colors are a contrast to Batman, Robin is the light that balanced his darkness.

And Dick named Robin, as shown in Dark Victory. He used a childhood nickname from his mother.

It was originally Robin as in Robin Hood, not the bird. Also Dick has said his stupid costume makes the bad guys underestimate him.

That's the point

Because target didn't roll off the tongue as well as Robin did. Batman and Target didn't work so they went with Batman and Robin. Target came at a close second though.

@xBIGjakeX360: @ArturoCalaKayVee:

On an hilarious unrelated note, Dick eventually uses the name Target for a vigilante persona.

I dunno. I can totally see them naming a character Target.

They kinda do with The Human Target being listed as an alias of Christopher Chance and Tom McFadden. :p

Dick Grayson's already had the name Target used, when he couldn't operate as Nightwing. :p

Why couldn't he operate as Nightwing?

@ArturoCalaKayVee: Batman told him it best he retire it after he is framed as officer Grayson for the death of a man by several corrupt Bludhaven cops. He then becomes the Target and clears his name.

I love how people with under 10 posts always start topics complaining.

The whole idea of Robin is to add happiness to Batman's grim attitude.

That's the idea, distract you and make you try to shot the colourful when you got to worry about the big black one

Robin is a lame name and his costume is far too colorful for what he does.

Imagine you're a perp, you're doing a job in Gotham...

You're nervous enough as it is, then there's a crash and it's raining glass, there's a ball of color bouncing around the room, you can't get a bead on it.

It's laughing???

It's talking to the shadows???

wtf? The shadows are talking back? Growling orders to it?

Suddenly the shadows are suffocating you, striking you, PAIN!

Can't get a bead on that blur of color, where's Joey? The blur of color bounces off him, he slumps, the shadows rise up above you ,oh God is that the Bat?

THE BAT IS REAL!

WHERE'S JOEY, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT BLUR OF COLOR?! IS IT LAUGHING AT YOU?!

POW!

You wake up, all you know is pain and the barrel of a GCPD cop's gun pointing at you.

That's pretty much how Robins costume works.

@superbatprime: reading that has been the highlight of my year so far.

Also, it doesn't matter what you wear or what your name is when you are kicking as much ass as Robin does.
