    @papinacho:

    Lex Luthor used Amazo to create a virus to be used on meta humans. And it didn't work on Superman or Wonder Woman. Lex literally says it doesn't work on Diana because, "She's a god.".

    But the Joker can whip up something to get past her god hood. Because, you know, he's a Batman villain so by virtue of being that he should be able to. You rationalize that any way you like. I just thought you should know that Joker>Luthor and Ivo.

    So Lex Luthor makes something to attack meta humans except for his greatest and most hated enemy? Isn't he supposed to be smart?

    Don't try to make a close-minded argument. This isn't about whether or not my mind is open or not it's about characters having limits that permit continuity to make sense. If Thor were to out-science Reed Richards, that would be a problem. The same principle applies here. Would you not have an issue if Catwoman used "a smidgen of fairy dust" and, "imagination" to beat William Hand with special claws?

    @sog7dc: One explanation that might make sense is that Lex is not very accepting of magic or willing to use it, while Joker is. Perhaps by teaming up with someone he was able to come up with something that could infect Diana, while Lex's purely science base approach couldn't.

    He is The Joker. Expect the unexpected. That's also a part of "who the character is," and that has been the case with a pattern of consistency throughout his history. He thinks outside the box and surprises you with craziness that you wouldn't have thought possible. That's kind of his whole shtick.

    I'm not saying he should have been able to affect a "god" (Diana) with his toxin, or that he should be able to do things way outside of his normal capacity, but I also do not think this particular incident was outside the realm of possibility for him.

    EDIT: Also, hasn't Joker been known for his genius in chemistry (and inventing) for quite some time now? Maybe Luthor should start going to Joker for this kind of job, lol.

    Joker's Venom drove Grayven, Kyle Rayner and Circe mad during Last Laugh, and that was without modification. At least Snyder bothered with an explanation.

    It wasn't made to affect Superman. It's coded specifically to Human D.N.A. If he wanted it to affect Superman he'd have made it suppress Kryptonian D.N.A.

    I'm not sure what the problem is. Every one of the Justice League was weaker than normal. The "feat fiends" won't get anything new from "Superman can be beaten with kryptonite". As for the JL turning when Lex couldn't do anything, Joker's toxin seems to be only partially effective, which would explain the lower abilities. They don't kill him because, even under Joker toxin, they don't really want to kill him. It's an anniversary story - if you don't like it, don't pay attention to it. We all know every JL character could kill Batman at a moment's notice. Let him have a "special circumstances, intelligence, and luck" win every once in a while to show off his skills.
