Character » Batman appears in 23635 issues.
@tazzmission: They're only rumours at this stage, even if they did appear it could possibly be cameos or small roles. We haven't seen the movie yet, so how do we know it will fail??

i think its fair to say we all said the same for xmen 3 and look how that turned out............ thats my fear about all these current rumors now. it feels like there trying to over crowd it to rush a jla film by maybe 2016 2017. what i dont get is why not save the trouble and do a green arrow green lantern movie and another that features flash and whoever else? that way there knocking out two team films that can build into jla?
Possible cameos and universe expanding make you lose hope and you're a comic fan? That's kind of weird.
I wouldn't worry too much, there probably going to be wasted with five minute cameos.
That being said I always assumed that a Batman / Superman movie would be more likely to be a mess than an actual good movie.
It's one thing to have cameos and references, it's another to have those characters show up and basically be wasted.
Plus a film overcrowded with characters tends to not be "good".
Only rumors at the moment LMFAO there's not a single reason to lose hope over anything. Tony Stark appeared in the Incredible Hulk, did it ruin the film or take away from Hulk? No. Why? Because it was a cameo.

Yeah. The main problem is that you have to establish all of the characters in one movie, which can make it hard to devote enough screen time to each one. I'm sure if other Justice League members appeared it would only be in cameos though. Which could lend some precedent to the Justice League film (or any other solo films).
@dctv3363:
Yeah I just don't want them to show up, and then basically say something and disappear for the rest of the movie.
An after (or mid) credit cameo would be fine though.

Yeah, that would be kind of jarring if not done right.

The film won't be out for another two years, so until then, be very skeptical about what you hear about MOS2.

2 scenes were already shot. last one was on halloween late at night. im not saying flash ww ect were involved but there already getting some shots in for the film as we speak
This continues to give the impression that WB has missed the point of what casued Marvel's success in the film realm. Mainly a mixture of spot on casting (save for Ed Norton but even than solid choice) with a very good script that was character based. All the phase 1 films go the the characters right (which is why Iron Man 2 is so bad). Marvel continues to get the characters right.
Here it seems like WB is taking the wrong messagef from Avengers which is audiences like seeing characters cross over. Partly true but misses the point, the characers and scripts were good. MoS had no character, Superman dosen't become Superman or anything. I'm all for an evaluatiion of what it means to be Superman like the first half of the film but that didn't mean Superman couldn't have a character to him.
STill did not know Adam Driver was an ex-marine some how his creepy look makes more sense now.
@mrmazz: But DC doesn't need to be like Marvel, it can go with a different direction. They are different companies. Batman/Superman in the movie isn't bad idea it just needs to executed right. Besides Batman and Superman does make the direction to an JLA movie easier than the avengers could do with five movies.

QFT!!!
@lyrafay: Never said WB needed to follow Marvel Studios trail of fun breezy film making the point that I made was that at the heart of all this is a studio and those they hire executing the characters in a mass market understandable kind of way.
Now this is all rumors, and I really hate commenting on rumor stuff but this was a good example. It sounds like WB is stuffing this film with comic names when they don't need to be. If David Goyer is able to write a script that characterize the Batman-Superman relationship correctly fantastic (it'll likely be his sole good solo credit). If they get that wrong all the Dick Graysons, Dana Princes and Batman vs Superman crap isn't going to matter because no one will care. WB market this moie to $450 million no problem but that dosen't mean people will care.
I'm with you on having a film featuring Bats and Supes together makes a through line to a JL film easier but the amount of heavy lifting necessary to introduce the rest of the cast by just jumping to JL would kill it. The first hour of The Avengers being on the hellicarrier did 2 things: 1 save a bunch of money and 2 just let all the characters we'd come to know previously interact and play off eachother. If you need to introduce 3 new characters in a single film you aren't going to have that.

Agreed, people are overreacting.
@mrmazz: I love how people often ignores the first hour of Avengers was pretty damn pointles, since it was an origina story with characters that didnt need an origin story, also it didnt build character relationships, they only build two relationships in this movie, the heterosexual life partenershipt of Tony Stark and Bruce Banner and the terrible love angle of Hawkeye and Black Widow, Thor and Loki relationship came from a past movie and it really didnt evolved that much in this movie.

It was only Tony Stark, this is Wonder woman, Nightwing and Flash, we know what happens with movies that have to many characters.

Cameos really aren't full blown characters in all their glory, like an entire movies worth. It's a character appearing for all of a minute max. If people really think that many characters are going to get major show stopping cameos I think they're all being very naive.
@nathaniel_christopher: Yeah, because its obvious this is not putting to many character and lack faith in they could drawn by themselves.
This movie is minimizing JL, having many of them in a movie takes away the whole watching them together in screen for the first time, Tony Stark wasnt in the movie with Hulk.
Avengers did well one thing and was building expectations and hype, too much of cameos, is still too much of characters, this idea of having millions of cameos minimize the characters by not having their own movies or tv series, it pretty much comfirms this idea that besides Superman and Batman the other guys are pretty worthles and dont deserve their franchises and for the same your time.
99% that is watching this movie, is the mainstream, nerds wishes should never be in the table.

Millions of cameos? Based off of what's currently a rumor? Again, blowing things out of proportion. It's not nearly that big a deal, and doesn't have nearly enough evidence to even think such a thing at the moment or to even be worrying about it. Though you're free to do what you want, I think people are being silly.
