Keaton? Please, no...
I hope there aren't any cheesy cameos like that; the guy from Superman II that appears in Batman Begins was almost too much...

Idk there was some thing that just bothered me about the newest batman movie.

(I AM A BATMAN FAN)

The movie blew. Besides the piss poor role of twoface and the crappy joker, who the whole lip thing yeah Ol' Jack did that first. And for the love of god does anyone remember Michael Keaton as batman? He was man.

You mean the Dark Knight? If so, then I also agree. I preferred Batman Begins.

I respectfully disagree.  The Dark Knight is still my favorite live action comic movie.

They both have their pros and cons.  I felt that the Dark Knight was rushed more and when films get rushed, they lose their potential.  Batman Begins had more character development, which is what I like. : )

I will have to agree with you on this here Edamame.. Begins had the better Character development but I know alot of people are going to say that I'm lame for this but I have to say I'm not to crazy with the "Realistic" arc Nolan is going with his Movies but it is what it is and I do like Begins a whole lot better than TDK . It was good do not get me wrong but mostly it got a lot of hype truly due to Heath's passing.. But TDK was good but I did not get that Batman/ Gotham city Aura like I did with Begins
#260 Posted by DEGRAAF (7895 posts) - - Show Bio

just saw this comment on another site. It there any truth behind this?
Isn't it weird that Batman Begins referenced Two Face and Joker. Then TDK referenced Catwoman and Riddler...hmm....conspiracies.

I remember Alfred at the beginning of the second movie asking if Bruce got mauled by a tiger (assuming that is the cat woman hint) but i dont remember a riddler hint and i dont remember a Two Face hint in the first one. Did anyone see these things?
#261 Posted by Thunderscream (1811 posts) - - Show Bio

It's been mentioned in a few places and I have to agree with whoever the originator was....but Talia al Ghul should be in B3. Who would play her in a movie? I know it doesn't fit her ethnic makeup (Talia is Chinese/Arab/Caucasian....I think) but I'd like to see Mila Jovovich or Eva Mendes. Any other suggestions if this were the route Nolan would take?

#262 Posted by AJthenewusrname (39 posts) - - Show Bio
@Thunderscream:
I think Emily Blunt would make justice to Talia's character.

@DEGRAAF:
- When Bruce talked with Fox about the new bat-suit he said: it shoul do fine against cats (hints Catwoman)
- The name Edward Nashton was signed under an article in The Gotham Times that appeared on thegothamtimes.com site as a publicity stunt, if I'm not mistaken
- Two-Face was referred to on Bruce' s birthday party, when he was trying to get his guests to leave. He caled them two-faced friends.

They need to dig into the fact that Batman has alot to do with gangs and detective work.

Do you have ANY idea how sad I am that Kristen Bell isn't actually playing Harley Quinn. I love Kristen Bell almost as much as I love Dr. Harleen Quinzel. Je suis tres decu!

Rumor has it that IF they make a Batman 3 that Eddie Murphy might play the role of The Riddler.
What do you guys think about that?
I say No it's not a good idea they should pick someone else. I believe Eddie Murphy is not fitted for that role.

#267 Posted by yankeemanf (192 posts) - - Show Bio
@Oblivious: eddie murphy would be horrible for the riddler in my joseph gordon levitt would be perfect i just cant see any1 else in the role

i've read a couple of articles of interviews with Christopher Nolan and he says:
-there will be a third Nolan Batman movie, possibly called "The Dark Knight Rising (rises)"
-Robin will not be in any of the movies :( ...in the comics i love all the Robins' interactions with Alfred, which i would live to see portrayed in live action.
-Riddler will not be a villain
- There will be 2 female roles in the movie

IMO, i think it'll be Dr. Strange. Notice how the time when the Arkham Asylum video game came out they were working on TDK, a main villain in that video game was The Joker. this time, while filming the next batman film the video game Arkham City will be released...who will be the main villain in Arkham City?....Dr. Hugo Strange

Rumors:Lovers of the 1989 classic, it seems that our beloved reporting Vicki Vale will reemerge in Batman:The Dark Knight Rises.

In a recent radio interview with a British actor Christian Bale who plays Batman mentioned a possible new member of the third film in the saga, no less than the reporter Vicki Vale, among many possible affairs of Batman, it seems that Vicki is a step ahead of its competitors, as the interpreter of Bale Batman cited, but the surprise does not end here, the latest singer to embark on the big screens in the world Christina Aguilera seems more considered for the role because of the great similarity between the singer and character and also its natural sensuality with comical air, reminding us of our very dear Kim Basinger's 1989 classic Batman, Christian Bale describes beauty as "interesting and sexy", rumors already take for granted their participation, one thing is certain we agree with Bale, the girl is really sexy, another coincidence that this statement is one of the writers said that a possible "Batman's love interest" is seen on the big screen again, and might there be a rivalry in the new sequel, after all Vicki is the height of an opponent's Catwoman, which we will reserve the third film in the saga.

Negotiations are taking place, after finishing his film Burlesque, Christina Will accept a new challenge at the cinema?

So Joseph Gordon Levitt...

Who is he to be playing as in TDKR? Well there is nothing officail that i know of yet but looking around, i found a poll with almost 400 vote (378 to be exact at the time of this post) with 30% of people thinking he will be taking on the role of Dick Grayson.

I dont know his exact words but, we've all heard something along the lines that Nolan refuses to put robin and/or Dick Grayson in his Bat-verse. Could he be having a change of heart? The original story of Bane consists of Bane releasing all the inmates of Arkham then when Batman has finally finished dealing with all of them Bane comes in to take on the Bat, breaking his back and putting him out of commission. Im not sure how much of that story has to do with Dick but we do know that by then dick was in his mid to late teens (im not positive but possibly in his early 20's) i cant remember if Dick was robin or Nightwing at the time of the incident (i think he was nightwing) but the more prominent character in the story is Azreal. He takes over for Bruce while he he is learning to walk again.

They already have Selina Kyle casted so maybe they will replace Azreal with Selina as the protector of Gotham. I never really liked Azreal besides his flaming swords so if they made that change it would be fine with me but that still leaves....

Who is Joseph Gordon Levitt going to be playing? What do you guys think?
#276 Posted by yankeemanf (192 posts) - - Show Bio

i can see JGL playin eitha deadshot or black mask or hush.........i hope they dont make him play dick grayson/nightwing....he is my fave character and i think makin him go straight to nightwing ruins his character development

I thought not having a robin in the movie was gonna make me unhappy, but having a female robin would most likely just piss me off. It's one thing to keep the Robin persona out of the trilogy but to replace to say that and then replace the original with a female version?

Courtesy of Legion of Comic Geeks:

By now you've likely come to realize that our editorial staff here try to avoid posting unfounded rumors. We don't ever want to waste your time, but this one in particular seems close to the truth based on the amount of credible sources getting behind it.

Earlier today, Collider received an email describing The Dark Knight Rises teaser trailer that is set to air with the last Harry Potter film due out this Friday.

Alight sir, here it is. I’m doing this on my phone so I’m sorry for any spelling and grammar mistakes.

-Trailer opens with studio logos set on top of the blue flame from Dark Knight.

Start panning up some buildings, but to screen card. EVERY HERO HAS A JOURNEY.

Cuts to a shot from Begins with Bruce walking up to that Village when he’s looking for Ra's

Screen Card: EVERY HERO HAS AN END

Ra’s voice over: If you make yourself more than just a man. If you devout yourself to be ideal. And you become something else entirely. A legend Mr. Wayne... A LEGEND!

Screen Card: THE EPIC CONCLUSION

Cut to Gordon in a hospital bed laying on his side. Looks to be in serious pain. Has A breathing mask on. Is talking to someone.

Gordon: We were in this together, then you were gone…….Now this Evil rises. The Batman…..HAS to come back.(all this is said in a very raspy voice, in much pain)

Bruce/Batman(its not shown who he’s talking to, so don’t know in which form Bruce is visiting him in. My guess would be as Bruce Wayne) : What if he doesn’t exist anymore?

This part is the hardest to understand in the entire trailer, I listened to it at least 10 times but the score is over powering here and Gordon is having trouble talking. It sounds like if says Humor me while trying to laugh. I might be wrong here, full disclosure.

During this quick talk we’re shown a shot of the bat cycle when it drives up the ramp from Dark Knight, Gordon destroying the Act Signal all cut in with the Hospital. As well as super fast flashes of Bane’s face.

Pan up crumbling buildings to reveal the teaser poster, the camera zooms to the white opening and on an all white screen the title appears. The score reaches a fever pitch before turning over to The chanting from the website.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Fades to black and then we see Batman backing away from something, then Bane enters from the left side of the screen. Very quick shot then the trailers done.

What do you think? Could this be the teaser trailer? We suspect that there won't be a long wait if this is indeed the real thing. Warner Bros. Pictures has been flexible in the past when dealing with early leaks, so stay tuned.

For the record, if he kills James Gordon, I may hate Christopher Nolan and never watch a movie by, after this one.

I was wondering what do you think about Jim Caviezel as bruce wayne?

#297 Posted by COMICFAN (16 posts) - - Show Bio

@TheGoldenOne: Yes, and Batman & Robin. Sure they were colorful, but at least they weren't boring, and contrived of a mish-mash of 4 or 5 other movies like Nolan's. I don't blame Schumacher, I think after Burton's last Batman movies, Warner Bros. wanted to take a different apporach, marketed towards kids, cause we all know what consumers they are. I mean I've seen St. Elmo's Fire, The Lost Boys, Flatliners and Falling Down- -All great films by Schumacher. How many people can say they saw Momento, or even liked it prior to watching Nolan's movies?

#300 Posted by Watcherg6 (263 posts) - - Show Bio

OK here it goes. in 1995, Joel Schumacher was riding hi on the Batman Forever success, that they gave him another film, but who knew what it would do. The success of Batman Forever, I think was more on the Killer Soundtrack! the U2 song, the seal song, it was a juggernaut. But back to the Curse, The Star George Clooney was up and coming, He was People Magazine's Sexiest man Alive. Arnold Schwarzenegger, was Still a Big Action Hero, Chris O'Donnell was called the the next Tom Cruize! Uma Thurman was still kind of unknown, she was working, but she's also the less touched by this curse. Alicia Silverstone, ok lets face she was living off the Aerosmith fame!

Now right after the Film Schwarzenegger takes time to recuperate from a back injury, but here is where the curse starts, When he tries, 3 more films, all bombs! It isn't untill he dose T3 that he breaks the curse on him. one down

Oh wait Jeep Swenson, died after this film He plaied Bane!

George Clooney, People Magazine's Sexiest man Alive, wow He dose not break the curse until it isn't until 2005 when he Breaks the curse! I mean he help start ER, he worked so hard! then This batman movie, and :(

Alicia Silverstone, well let's face it, she got lucky, with her videos! and the Crush!

Uma Thurman, She wasn't really a big part of the movie, after this movie she did the avengers, but she Really Stood out with the Kill Bill Films!

Chris O'Donnell this was the saddest part, he was up for J in Men in Black, But after this Batman and Robin, it isn't until he get NCIS LA, that he Breaks the Curse.
