I have to say the ending and the development of Two face disappointed me, I like Harvey Dent but not Two face, not at all. I heard all the hype about Ledger/Joker, and it was well based; I really liked joker, though, it drew away completely my interest over Batman, which is not that bad. Other than that I must say It's an excellent movie. Hopefully the next one if there is would be as good or close enough.

zzzzz

He was in The Dark Knight, in the first part of the movie.

Anyone know when it's coming out on DVD, I've heard a few different dates?

Nolan or not? The Los Angeles Times asked the question, and the director himself answered with a resounding "maybe." "There are two things to be said," Nolan said. "One is the emphasis on story. What's the story? Is there a story that's going to keep me emotionally invested for the couple of years that it will take to make another one? That's the overriding question. On a more superficial level, I have to ask the question: How many good third movies in a franchise can people name? At the same time, in taking on the second one, we had the challenge of trying to make a great second movie, and there haven't been too many of those either. It's all about the story really. If the story is there, everything is possible. I hope that was a suitably slippery answer."

Will the Joker be returning in the 3rd movie?

ummmmm  why some people didn't like that Two face die? IF  he died..

I mean I think it was good, because it has a story, it has a base and people actually feel the character falling..I mean if they put someone else dying that isn't a big deal. People wuldn't care.. like the people who killed Super boy in the crisis comics, they were going to actually kill Nightwing because it would be a bigger crisis, yet they pick the cryptonian because it would have almost the same effect and also the it would shock the people a lot more, like "Whoa! Superboy no way! but he is a cryptonian how could it be" See... I think that's what they decided to do here. They decided to do Harvey's story, Selling you the beauty of the character so it grows on you as a good guy. Then in a flash turn him into the spycopath Twoface, now you care about this character you saw him as a hero and out the sudden the coin is fipped and now is the hero no more.. but yet when he dies the people like feel the lost :D

Like the people felt when Superboy die, it was a big deal since Cryptonians are such a powerful race and the character is also famous. Well here it was a big deal because Harvey was the hope the people needed in the city.

I bet he be back though, it was fun to see what he did to the guy on the limo and the driver XD

<-------------just bored and making a point. I just watch the movie again and I remember that some people didn't like Harvey dying :)

'Dark Knight' Bags WGA Screenplay Nomination .

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Add writing to Batman's bag of tricks. "The Dark Knight" has earned a nomination for best adapted screenplay from the Writers Guild of America.

The Batman blockbuster is competing alongside the romantic fantasy "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," the Roman Catholic drama "Doubt," the Richard Nixon saga "Frost/Nixon" and the street-orphan tale "Slumdog Millionaire."

Joel and Ethan Coen, last year's adapted-screenplay winners for "No Country for Old Men," have an original-screenplay nomination for their CIA romp "Burn After Reading."

Also nominated for original screenplay Wednesday: the Harvey Milk drama "Milk," the romance "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," the cross-culture tale "The Visitor" and the ringside story "The Wrestler."

'Dark Knight' Grabs Cinematography Nomination

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Batman is angling for top honors from the American Society of Cinematographers.

Wally Pfister, cinematographer on the Batman blockbuster "The Dark Knight," is among contenders for the society's prize at its Feb. 15 awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

The nominations, announced Wednesday, include two for Roger Deakins, for the domestic story "Revolutionary Road" and the Holocaust drama "The Reader." Deakins shares "The Reader" nomination with Chris Menges.

Also nominated are Anthony Dod Mantle for "Slumdog Millionaire" and Claudio Miranda for "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."

What are Batman Rogues that should never appear in a Batman movie. I'll start with obvious ones.

Calender Man Dumb name, concept, costume method of operation, and everything else. The average joe wouldn't take him seriously because he's as dumb as his name. What's he going to do on Christmas act like the grinch wow Batman is going to enjoy taking on this nusiance not.

Ten Eyed Man Another dumb all around concept, and he's not even a annoyance to Batman. He couldn't carry the movie on his own, and he would outdue the lameness of Mr.Freeze in Batman and Robin.

Tweedledee and Tweedledum Batman movie villains are serious and these two are dumb, and dumber. Basically they seem about the same as Beebop and Rocksteady.

Maybe Keaton should of played Joker in Batman 89 he could ofp layed a great Joker after playing in Bettle Juice as that ghoul. Also Mel Gibson was originally gonna play Batman he could of pulled it off. Gibson had the looks, charms and was a badass.
#232 Posted by fueljunky (17 posts) - - Show Bio

Anybody else interested in seeing Hush as the villain in the 3rd Batman movie. He would fit well into the Nolan-verse. I think it would be cool to have someone attack Bruce Wayne as much as Batman. I would love to see Sean Bean play him. Throw in Talia Al Guhl as sort a love interest/adversary and it would make for a great movie. Well that's just what I think. Thoughts?

#233 Posted by Phorqe (2109 posts) - - Show Bio

I just watched most of the Micheal Keaton/Nicholson/ Tim Burton Batman last night. Damn, that was waaay cheesier than I remember. Batman's big thing at the beginning of the movie was to raise his arms up to spread the cape, and all the bad guys would get spooked and run away. Then he would grab bad guys by the collar and lift them up to trash talk them while they remained frozen in fear at the fact they were being lifted off the ground. The music was overly sappy (Thanks Danny Elfman) Tim Burton tried to throw the Batman logo in every frame he could, in case you forgot you were watching a Batman movie.

All in all, I'd say it was not bad, just disappointing to my memory. Keaton was a great Bruce Wayne and Nicholson was decent. BTW Nicholson made ridiculous money for this. He got like 20% of all box office sales and made something like 50 million off of the movie

#234 Posted by Sidney (1272 posts) - - Show Bio

Yeah movie was cheesy.

Definitely. If they lose Nolan and therefore likely Bale too, the studio will go eventually go ahead with it anyway.

There are rumours that David Tennant might be in line to play The Riddler. When quizzed about it recently, he said it would be "a dream come true" to play The Riddler.

I think Tennant could be awesome as Riddler.

As awesome as Johnny Depp would no doubt be as Riddler, I think I would prefer a lesser known actor like Tennant in the role.

They sucked to me it was like watching just another crime drama there was nothing comic book about it. Bale sucked at Batman and Bruce Wayne. WTF was up with Two Face. Heath Ledger did not even bother to study the character he even admitted to it. He just played some psycho it is a completely overrated to long snooze fest and Heath :Ledger is the most overrated actor in history
#247 Posted by EdwardWindsor (14428 posts) - - Show Bio

i beleive the whole concept was to root the batman world in a more realistic real world like setting. As for bale i find his bat voice annoying but as an actor for bruce i think he easily up there with keaton from the original. Two face and joker i will agree have been altered alittle but you do have to remember with each film that comes out the directors writters etc want some creative imput rather than a simple paste jobs from source. I feel what your saying thous i dislike that original charecter looks and concepst change in order to meet a theme but it comes with the territory with comic to film transfers i cnat think of anything htats 100% true to source which is kind of gutting. Surely you cnat preefr batman and robin to the nolan films that was truely aweful.
