Batman wins...end of story.

The most wanked character in comic book history.

Make a thread of Batman versus any given character and the first question you get from his craziest fans is: ''How much prep time does he get?!''.

Listening to some of 'em one could even beleive that Batman could probably defeat the entire comicverse if granted enough prep-time.  Quite ridiculous, he's the Chuck Norris of comic books.  And it doesn't seem like the blind fanboyism among writers and his most loyal fans will change any time soon.

Batman beats the entire DBZ universe fused togther with only an hour of prep and all the Dragonball mangas.

Altair, Ezio and Connor can kick Batman's ass. There I said it.

“Tony, Batman can’t lose. Dont’ even try and make him lose, because its just going to be that much more embarrassing for you when you realize that he can’t lose…"

Speaking of blind fanboyism...

NO. No matter how RIDICULOUSLY OMNIPOTENT/GODLIKE/OMNICIENT/IMPOSSIBLE a foe is... when matched with Batman, it's a no win scenario for that guy.
It's just so damn fun to see how Batman can actually still win. He's a survivor, and that's what he'll always do: Survive.

Someone should tell Jimmy Palmiotti that Batman did beat Hulk, as well as Superman several times.

You're implying there is room for defeat on Batman's end.

There isn't.

This is why I can't love Batman, I like Batman well enough, but honestly I hate this perception that he is unbeatable. His book is good and seeing him struggle against Talon was awesome, but then you have this parallel fanverse where he could take Superman and Wonder Woman on blindfolded and it is totally acceptable. Bat-god in my opinion ruins Batman.

Batman doesn't battle, he allows you to lose. Just kidding.

There's always someone better than you.

Luckily, that doesn't apply to Batman!

Give batman 1 or 2 week prep time then we see how it goes

@Blood1991: Thats why batman is the best character, hes always prepared. But having this perception were he is unbeatable thats what makes batman, batman! Gosh..But the stories were he gets hes butt kicked and still wins is one of my favorites. If you think about it every character is unbeatable, when they die they come back so it doesnt matter.

Yes batman did... But when did he beat them in canon? That's the better question...

#27 Posted by MuyJingo (638 posts) - 6 months, 11 days ago - Show Bio

Because of the characters obsession, devotion, experience, training and innate gifts, then he can beat most people in a believable way.

Some people might not like that, but it's true.

I blame miller

**** that guy

#29 Posted by sinestro_GL (1369 posts) - 6 months, 11 days ago - Show Bio

Without the convenient plot devices...then no.

E.g.

Hush: Supposing that Lois managed to escape Catwoman's escape and went somewhere she couldn't be found, and if Bruce didn't happen to be in the same building as the Kryptonite ring, Batman would have probably been turned inside out.

e.g. 2:

TDKR: Suppose Oliver Queen dropped his arrow, or was apprehended before he had a chance to fire his arrow, the ending of the Superman/Batman fight would have come a lot sooner.

#30 Posted by barnabae70 (18 posts) - 6 months, 11 days ago - Show Bio

Honestly batmans cool and all but this topic is just point less because even if he had all the prep time in the world id bet my life wolverine would STILL find a way to kill batman. *(Oh hell new pointless discussion can wolverine kill every1 if he had enough prep time.)* Also just to state a fact Dr. Doom or Wolverine are the comicverse chuck norris.

#31 Posted by NativeNerd (5 posts) - 6 months, 11 days ago - Show Bio

Batman Wins when he actually takes the time to prep

#32 Posted by Trodorne (2306 posts) - 6 months, 11 days ago - Show Bio

@Blood1991: I agree.

I hate batman/bruce wayne and he can go die. Nightwing is clearly the Superior Hero.

No he cannot.

Come at me fanboys

@ssejllenrad: Well, Batman beat Superman in the Hush storyline as was pointed out by a previous comment.

Let us not forget that Batman has plans to beat the entire JLA. Has no one read Tower of Babel or seen Justice League: Doom ? End of discussion.

#37 Posted by Praetor_fenix (189 posts) - 6 months, 11 days ago - Show Bio

Let's turn batman into a Villain and have D-List heroes/villains team up to beat him 'cause they're so inconsequential he didn't prepare for them.

Yes actually he did in AvX #13!
The phoenix force created a portal between the MCU and the DCU so batman was able to cross, he kicked everyones ass of course.
Why did they do this? Well because Marvel has made a mess lately with their big events and needed DC to actually write a good ending to this monstrosity.
Of course this all leads up to Marvel joining the DC universe in 2013. I mean you did read the news that Disney sold Marvel to warner brothers so they could buy Lucasarts right?
So next year we will get DC NOW!! it's not a complete reboot but it will allow the marvel characters to be merged into the DCU.
Apparently Spider-man will move to Gotham city, and get's involved with Batgirl cause he has a thing for redheads.

Hope this helps

You hit the nail on the head...And then people come and say Superman is overpowered...but Batman can somehow beat him with a banana....talk about hypocrisy...
#48 Posted by mrdecepticonleader (10328 posts) - 6 months, 11 days ago - Show Bio

No he cant beat everyone,no superhero is unbeatable.

Talking in canon of course.

#49 Posted by TheAcidSkull (6744 posts) - 6 months, 11 days ago - Show Bio

uhh,NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Batman cannot beat everyone, this is ridicules

#50 Posted by Karkarov (16 posts) - 6 months, 11 days ago - Show Bio

Considering Galactus has technically lost to a dude whose power is being smart and a human rubber band I don't think Batman would be too pressed coming up with something.
