@the3rdborn: Don't waste your money. Pick up Batman instead, it's wonderful, but Detective Comics is just bad right now.

I heard that it wasn't the greatest, just decent. Pick up the regular Batman series first, and if you want a second Batman series on your pull, pick Detective up. Just stay away from Dark Knight. Hope I helped. :)
If your a batman fan, you should definitely pick up Scott Snyder's Batman. And if one batman title just isn't enough, I would check out Batman and Robin, I haven't read it, but I've heard good things about it. Also the Batman Annual #1 just came out recently, you might want to check that out.
I think that it is just decent. Not amazing or terrible, just decent
It's mediocre at best.
Scott Snyder's current Batman series is amazing though, and if you're looking for a contemporary, well-written detective story involving Batman, I would suggest looking into Batman: The Black Mirror by Scott Snyder.
Don't do it mate. The main run by Snyder is far better.
I heard that the Batman series is a lot better than Detective Comics
It's pretty damn bad - especially when held in comparison to Snyder's run on the 'Batman' title - which is at least in the top 3 of the n52 so far. Detective Comics so far has not been worth the time, money, effort, etc.
