Ignore him. Read it starting at issue 30.

I thought the detective series were pretty good in the later run. Not as good as bats and robin but not horrible.

@fallschirmjager: Yes, I forgot about that story, it was actually a decent story.

@batmite1995: I agree with everyone else, I read a few issues before issue 30 and it wasn't really my cup of tea, but once issue 30 came out with a new creative team, its by far on of my favorite runs on the current Batman. Definitely check it out, and they have SO much planned for the future

@batmite1995:I don't know about the new52 ones, but I can tell you there are good stories in the pre-new52. I've read Paul Dini's run that includes Heart of Hush that has one of the best versions of Hush and a nice relationship between Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle with Art by Dustin Nguyen. I've also read Scott Snyder's run called Black Mirror. I heard that War games is good.

Then theire are also lots of crossovers with the main Batman title that are often found in the collected editions of each arcs.
