and telepathy, to bring fear

Imagine Batman with a superpower
To be honest, I think they should give him superpowers. Its sometimes stretches the suspension of belief a bit to far to have him survive some of the situations and fight some of the characters he does. But then again he would lose everything that he is.

he doesn't need one,
but as an detective i'd give him eidetic memory
He almost already has that.
Manipulation of shadows and the dark
"Be water my friend"
@YourNeighborhoodComicGeek: its odd but i think if i had to give him a porr it would be the ability not to kill think about it he holds himself back so as not to kill people and become the monsters he fights imagine if he gained the power to beat someone as much as he wanted even to the point of unconsciousness but they wouldnt die then Batman would not need to restrain himself he could go for the figurative kill that and give him a low level healing factor and age retardant
bacon..I've often wondered why batman doesn't do some sort of super serum or something to enhance his physical abilities beyond what they are, like death stroke or Captain America style, bringing him just beyond peak human? but then again batman with powers isn't batman, however he could have a power unrelated to crime fighting and still be batman! something to help the Bruce side of things like stock predicting or super pimping? in fact if batman deserves any power its probably the ability to make anything taste like bacon, because frankly bacons awesome and if anyone deserves bacon its batman, but how often does batman get to enjoy a crisp piece or pound of bacon? probably never! I mean this is assuming he's always on a strict diet to keep in the shape he's in, so batman probably NEVER gets to eat bacon.. and this makes me sad... not to mention making anything he wants taste like bacon would be a power that would have little to no effect on his crime fighting so the fans cant say he's not the same batman because he uses powers to beat people.. unless he's fighting people who's motives are they don't get enough bacon which I can fully understand... that is my input, thank you for reading...
You can't give Batman any superpowers; it would defeat the entire point of Batman. Batman is a man, a simple human, a normal human being with no powers or supernatural abilities. Yet every day he stands up against beings far more powerful than he is; and yet no matter what he never gives in, he never gives up. He is regarded by many, including the Man of Steel himself, as the most dangerous person in the world. His mortal enemy and opposite side of the same coin, the Joker, is equally powerless and equally regarded as the most dangerous villain ever. Other villains fear him, they fear them both. Despite being a simple human Batman never gives up and he refuses to lose, using only his human intellect and willpower to carry him through. It is not despite his humanity: he is only a human and it is because of his simple humanity that makes him so dangerous, to be feared so much. That is the entire point of both Batman and the Joker.
To give Batman a superpower would not simply be dull or boring; it would defeat the entire point of who and what Batman is, it would ruin decades of metaphor and symbolism.
I think bats is better off without powers, but if I had to choose it would either be flight or teleportation.
If Batman was to have a superpower it would have to remain true to his Dark/Bat-like theme.
His abilities could be:
-Able to control darkness or shadows.
-Able to produce fear into people (Similar to Scarecrows fear toxin).
-Abilities much like a bat: wings, enhanced hearing, fangs.

Quite right. +10 for Dark Knight.
Batman doesn't need any superpower, that's what makes him extraordinary. He is one of the few main heroes that is able to conquer evil. To me his ability to not kill Gothams enemies and actually try his best to keep Gotham safe without the need for murder is a super power in itself.
He would create a high tech suit like Iron Man's armor with repulsor rays, unibeam, forearm rocket launcher, super strength, flight, and smart bombs.
I think that, like Iron Man, what makes Batman so great is the fact that he doesn't have a superpower. It makes the stories more mature and real, he has so rely on actual human characteristics to face teh hardest situations, instead of using supernatural powers.
How about flight or some form of night-vision so his name actually makes some sense.
He should have Daredevil's powers. And blindness. "Blind as a bat". It'd make much more sense.
I think he was already powerful with this power...
I wish he still had a white lantern ring. Maybe have all the rings of the emotinal specturm. Who needs Kyle?
