How will it effect his stories, his enemies and his position in JL
Batman
Character » Batman appears in 23535 issues.
Bruce Wayne, who witnessed the murder of his billionaire parents as a child, swore to avenge their deaths. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, mastering martial arts, detective skills, and criminal psychology. Costumed as a bat to prey on the fears of criminals, and utilizing a high-tech arsenal, he became the legendary Batman.
If batman had a ironman\beyond suite in new 52 reboot
@toplel: What if his enemies are upgraded too and he has something more like beyond suite
Batman is all ready omnipotent, he needs no primitive tech like this.
(that being said Batman Beyond suit is sexy as f*ck and my favorite)
I would've loved it. How does someone as smart as Bruce Wayne not use a sexy and lean armored suit. Him relying on padded armor and hurting himself makes him look stupid. He has access to armored suits and he doesn't use them :/
I would've liked him to have iron man like suit that's all black, has the bat symbol on the chest, and still has a cape. Along with an armored version of his cowl/mask
@blackhawk000111: Preexisting enemies or new ones? If the former, it'd ruin their appeal too. If the latter, coming up with villains just so Bruce can put on his armored suit doesn't really sound that interesting.
It'll only make for more shoehorned feats, which I don't really care for much.
If batvillians get upgrade they will be able to challenge more dc characters right now most of them cannot do anything outside the gotham because they are so weak.As for batman it is logical to use best technology even arkham knight batman now use tech suite.
@tehstranger: I am talking upgrading his villians too, upgrading whole gotham
@toplel: Nigma , joker and strange dont fight batman physically . Hatter can be upgrade something like talepath as a metter of fact dc needs more telepath.
The point is that the situation calls for it especially when he is among JL members
@blackhawk000111: How would you upgrade villains like Crane, Nigma, Joker, Strange, Hatter etc.? Like I said, it takes away the appeal of the characters.
In Arkham Knight, Bruce puts on an armored suit because the situation calls for it. I'm sure I read somewhere that he starts off using the Arkham City suit but switches later on.
Snyder wrote a story where something like that happened, it was short but pretty awesome, shows why Batman can easily adapted to any kind of storytelling. Anyways Batman had 4 solo series when New 52 started, DC could'v used one of those for a more technologically advanced batman and another for old school Batman.
Batman wearing an iron man like armor suit full time would be stupid
Batman beyond suit would be fine but not a full on armor suit
@darthaznable: I agree
@blackhawk000111: I see what you mean, but I'd rather they came up with new villains or situations instead of 'upgrading' the preexisting villains. I can get behind him putting on a power suit when hes operating with the JL, too.
@rustyroy: Basing an entire title on 'high tech Batman' doesn't seem like a good idea. You should come up with a good story and then see what fits into it rather than trying to make up a story around something you've already come up with.
- Why not? He just has to use the Batman Beyond suit instead of the current one, he could still do all the detective and ninja stuff. And there's already other 4-5 Batman titles where he could use the old costume.
- Disagree, both can be done well.
The last pic is perfect
