Me and my friends are talking about a batman reboot and i think that Ian Solmerhalder would be a good Batman, anyone else think that he would be a good pick for the next batman reboot? if not can you guys list better picks
Batman
Character » Batman appears in 23635 issues.
Bruce Wayne, who witnessed the murder of his billionaire parents as a child, swore to avenge their deaths. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, mastering martial arts, detective skills, and criminal psychology. Costumed as a bat to prey on the fears of criminals, and utilizing a high-tech arsenal, he became the legendary Batman.
Ian Somerhalder as Batman??
Honestly, no. I just can't picture him as Batman at all. He seem more of the villainous type actor to begin with (possibly because my sister forced me to watch season 1 of Vampire Diaries until I managed to break loose from the handcuffs...). I recall hearing a Batman reboot coming in 2016 since DC didn't feel Nolan left the Batman trilogy to where it could lead up to the Justice League, not sure if that's still true or not. If Christian Bale weren't to play him, I would want it to be a new name. In the past, some of the best Superheroes have been actors that weren't big names prior to that. Otherwise we could end up with another Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern.
He looks more like Dick Grayson that Batman and his acting screams Dick Grayson too.
No. I personally think Joe Magnaniello make a really good Batman.
He would be a very good Lobo to be honest
No. I personally think Joe Magnaniello make a really good Batman.
Much better choice. And he's too short for Batman.
Josh brolin would be awesome
Too old.

Bad news, everybody is too shor to play Batman, only CGI Hulk is big enough.
@deathpoolthet1000: The ideal height should be 6.3-6.5 but I wouldn't mind if Hulk wants to play Batman in the reboot, he'll be better than Somerhalder xD
@deathpoolthet1000: How tall is Batman exactly? I've heard 6'3" from numerous sources. Adam West was 6'2", the tallest to play him. The shortest Batman was Michael Keaton at 5'10". Interestingly enough, all the others (Kilmer, Bale, and Clooney) are all 6' even. By those numbers I'm the perfect height to play Batman!

He's around 6.3 and nice, maybe you can audition for the role :)
I have no idea who Ian Somerhalder is.
You haven't watched Lost or Vampire Diaries? He's a cool actor but not fit for Batman or Bruce Wayne, maybe Jason Todd or Dick Grayson.
I still think Jamie Foxx would be a cool choice for Batman. Race changes happen quite often in comic book movies, so who cares?
I really really really hope they don't change his race but if they do I'd like Idris Elba to play him.
@geekbait: If we're doing that then Edris Elba as Batman.
@rustyroy: But Foxx can't do scary well, I've seen him try to be intimidating in movies before and it only works when he has a gun and then its more the weapon than the guy.
@joshmightbe: I have only seen him in comedy films so I can't say anything about that. He's a cool actor but I'd prefer Elba over him.
@rustyroy: Every time I've seen him in a drama and he tries to look intimidating it just doesn't work for me, and the guy playing Batman has to be someone who can intimidate with a glance which is one of the many reasons Clooney's Batman failed. Batman can't be someone that looks like he'd take you out for a beer he needs to be able to make you firmly believe he's going to beat your ass with just a look.
@joshmightbe: Agreed, Batman definitely needs to be intimidating. Btw I think Clooney could've pulled off Batman with the right script and right Director, he did a good job as Bruce Wayne and could've better too.
@joshmightbe: Also Idris Elba was in Thor, Ghost Rider and other superhero movie i cant remember, he better stay away of Batman, he is too good to be typecasted.
Also Jammie Foxx is now is an Spiderman villain, please stop using Marvel leftovers.
DC Wiki says 6' 2"210 lbs (95 kg) Again Adam west wins.

He is a terrible choice, i means he and Matt Bommer are terrible choices people say too often, they could play Gambit.
Donnie Yen, screw this Obama race change, Donnie Yen kicks ass so hard its not even funny.
@deathpoolthet1000: Yeah Somerhalder is a terrible choice for Bruce, I'd personally like Kurl Urban or Richard Armitage. And Donnie Yen is badass choice.
@rustyroy: Karl Urban saddly is not the star he should be, and he would be a great casting choice.
@rustyroy: Donnie Yen was my dream cast for the Mandarin when Marvel first announced they were making the first Iron Man movie.

I'm actually glad that they didn't cast him as Mandarin, would've been a waste of his talents.

Yeah, he's very underrated but he could definitely pull off Batman/Bruce Wayne.
@rustyroy: Well I was looking at it from a different perspective back then, I was referring to way back before the first Iron Man had even announced RDJ as Tony Stark. Looking back on IM 3 now, yea he would have been wasted.
@joshmightbe: Yeah I was so hyped about the movie and thought we'd finally get to see Mandarin, and I loved Black's KKBB but I was very much disappointed with the movie but atleast it was better than IM2.

You notice the original Mandarine is a very racist stereotype right?
@deathpoolthet1000: Yes but in the comics the character has evolved beyond that, just as Luke Cage and Black Panther have evolved beyond token black characters.

Still thatdont change the name is the Mandarin, is chinesse and is evil, evil asian man is an stereotype.
@deathpoolthet1000: Evil has no race, there are evil people from every race, religion and nationality. Saying that no Asian can be evil is kind of racist in and of itself since it is in essence saying they can't be something that literally everyone else on Earth can be.
@joshmightbe: I know, but notice how in old comic, movies and tv shows the asians used to be the bad guys, the Avatar Last Airbender did the good guys white and the bad one asians, getting back at WW2 times, asians always had hard time for this reason to be big, Bruce Lee had problem for this, as Kato they reduce his time for being asian, Kung Fu say no to him for being asian, Hollywood made a movie when they notice he was really famous all over the world, still the villain is way more asian that him and the people that help him is obviously american.
I'm going to get hate for this, but I think this guy would make a great Batman - Josh Halloway. He can put on the playboy charm, and he can also be ruthless as f***. Anyone that has seen Lost knows that he's capable of so much more than he's done so far. I don't want my Batman to be some skinny pretty boy. I'd prefer my Batman as a badass.
@reignmaker: I've seen Lost and I don't think he's suited for Batman, maybe Aquaman but not Batman.

OLVIER FREACKING QUEEN!!!
Ian Somerhalder would make a great Jason Todd, but not Batman.
Also Adam West may have been the tallest but he had barely any muscle in comparison to Bale and even Kilmer.
