Let me say something before start so you can understand me
- I'm Mexican so all movie/cartoons are dub to Spanish
It's nuts but all my anger and trouble I have with the dub is the names translation, hell I totally hate it. Why?:
- Bruce Wayne - I like the name but is badly translated (without reason in my opinion) as Bruno Diaz. The name is pretty similar but the last name gives me bad memories (Porfirio Díaz) For luck the corrected that with Nolan's series
- Dick Grayson - WTF happens with the translation "Ricardo Tapia"?!? C'me on I know Dick is a diminutive of Richard but Tapia? I don't even heard the last name in all my life, hell you are weird
Now if I try to talk about villians with anybody they can't understand me
- Bane - That's far of reality "Veneno" or Venom (I know he uses venom to make himself bigger but that isn't a reason for put he that name, we aren't talking about Spiderman)
- Catwoman - Other WTF case "Gatubela" Hell, That word even exists?!? (Yeah not so much a villian but anyway)
- Man-Bat - Translated "El Hombre Murcielago" the same as the translation of Batman (for luck we call Batman the same of that will be huge confusion)
The other ones are textual (Poison Ivy, Penguin, Scarecrow, Dr. Freeze, Riddler) but stills being hard to they understand you. I know is insignificant but is so uncomfortable at the time to talk about Batman related themes or seeing a movie or cartoon in Spanish. Anyway I had to let it go
