    I just read Crisis On Infinite Earths, he was saved from erasure, and found the remains of Robin and Huntress, he never died.

    Earth One (the silver age Earth) was reformed after Infinite Crisis into what it is now (See Superman: Earth One OGN and the soon to be Batman: Earth One OGN). Basically the silver age Batman no longer exists as he once was (though you could probably make an argument that the former Silver Age has merged with New Earth)

    How doesn't he exist? he was saved from the erasure, as those Earths were merged together, when I read it, he was alive in the end, though he may be merged into the New Earth Batman.

    @comicdude23:

    CoIE was a long time ago and a lot has happened to the multiverse between then now.  Between CoIE and IE I have no idea but after Infinite Crisis and the reality punch there was the restructureing of the multiverse that removed the Silver Age from Earth One. Since then the Silver Age has been sort of reintroduced into New Earth Continuity with old silver age stories becoming apart of the canon. Meanwhile a new Earth One has been established which is set in a world where Superheros didn't start showing up until the 21st century. However, there is still debate over if the OGN Earth One is the same as the Multiverse's Earth One. If that's not the case that the Silver Age Batman is still alive and kicking on that earth.

    So his current whereabouts is one of two places. Either on the former Earth One that is not connected to the Graphic Novel series being put out or he's fused into the current Batman and no longer existed as he once was since the reality punch removed the silver age from it's own earth and melded it and New Earth into an earth of it's own.

    He was erased, there was a slight gap following coie before most of the characters were rebooted, much like how whatever happened to the maan of tommorow was being published following  coie.

    The only ones that were rebooted following CoIE were Superman and Wonder Woman.  The Silver/Bronze Age Batman got an updated origin story with Batman:  Year One, followed over the next few years with alterations of back story.  Most of the Bronze Age stories, such as classics like The Laughing Fish, were still in continuity.
