My friend just got into comics and for some reason thinks all the Robins after Dick are a waste of time and I have always been a huge fan of Tim Drake, but I love all of the Robins. I'm sure this was done before but who is your favorite Robin including who they become later (Dick, Jason, Tim, Stephanie, Damien, or Carrie), why are they your favorite, and what events from their history are your favorites?

Tim is my Favorite pre new 52 anyways my favorite story of him is when he becomes red robin that whole series was great. and before that from the time he started as robin he was always trying to be the best for Batman and he and dick have a great relationship they are tight like brothers. Tim is a great detective even Batman said he will surpase him one day.

For me, it's a toss up between Damian and Tim.

Grew up with Tim as Robin, so yeah my vote goes to him!

Your friend is young and naive (as a comic book reader). That's okay. Just introduce him to the other Robins. He'll see the error of his ways.

Favorite Robin? For me, it has to be Dick Grayson but a lot of that has to do with me really liking Nightwing more than his run as Robin(which I never read a lot of). I do like what they are doing with Damian and his ruthlessness is a really interesting characteristic for him to have. I look forward to his development.

Although, I love all the Robin's as Batman's sidekick, three of them have gone on to surpass themselves as their own separate entity .

In the new 52 if you are looking to see how Tim become Robin I would recommend Teen Titans #0.

As far as my favorite Robin I would go with Jason Todd. He is the most interesting Robin to me. He may have not started off as much more than a carbon copy of Dick but he really has grown into a total different character and the most unique out of the bunch.

Jason Todd, hes a more realistic take on a Robin character than the others. Tim would be second. As for Damian hes the worst Robin ever in the history of DC Comics.

@End_Boss: Im not talking about his return from the Dead. Im talking about his time as Robin. Males jasons age as Robin tend to be agressive, and there are a lot of street kids in the real world, and im betting a lot of them are just as agressive as Jason.

Dick Grayson easily. I wouldn't say every Robin after him is a waste of time, but I do think some can be depending on what you like in a character/comic. I personally never carried for Stephanie, and it took me a good while to get used to Damian. Tim I don't like Post-Flashpoint, but did enjoy reading most of his stories Pre-Flashpoint, though as with every character there were some that were better than others. Jason...has suffered from some truly awful writing during his time as Red Hood in my opinion, and i've never seen a lot of his stories as Robin. That being said when he's written properly I love the character.

My favorite events surrounding Dick would have to be his time with the New Teen Titans, both times he served as Batman, when Bruce fired him and he first became Nightwing, and a lot of other smaller moments throughout the characters history. Let me say I love Chuck Dixon's run on Nightwing.

I won't lie, I grew up with Dick Grayson as Robin while watching BTAS. Besides that I thought that of all the Robin's he had the most interesting relationship with Bruce. The whole prodigal son thing and all, the clashing and the arguments, as well as the genuine affection the two shared for each other. Being the first he was the one who left the nest first and went out into the world to make something of himself. And he did! (Leading the JLA twice, along with the Outsiders and various iterations of the Teen Titans, as well as even gaining his own city!) Dick Grayson was one of the first sidekicks, not only in comics as they pertain to our world, but in his own world as well. Wally West was the one who grew up, stepped to the plate and took over for his mentor (And surpassed him in my opinion) I feel that Dick did something similar as well. Then of course I love the character, his personality and his relationships with other people in the DCU.

Mine used to be Tim Drake but I have to say Tomasi and Gleason has written such an amazing Damian that he's now my favorite. Also Damian was pretty much made to be a Robin.

Well, considering Dick gave up the role of Robin back in . . . 1984, you probably would not have read a lot of the stories he was in as Robin unless you're toward 40 or older.

I grew up with Dick as Robin, so he always wins out in these things, though Tim as Robin would be my second choice (though not New 52 Red Robin version).

Dick Grayson.I didn't read a lot of his Robin stories because they are a lot older than me,I have read only major ones.But I really enjoy Nightwing as a character and his stories are wonderful.But Jason Todd is my fav Robin because I knew more about his time as Robin and I also like his new identity.So Dick Grayson is my favorite after being Robin and Todd is my favorite Robin.

I wonder why so many like Dick as Robin. His career as Robin ended in the beginning of the 80es. And he stopped being Batmans Sidekick in the End of the Silver Age. (In the 70es he was most of the Time with the Teen Titans or at college and rarely teamed up with Batman.)
