So I have been hearing that end game takes place after batman eternal, is this true? If so I makes no senses to jump to the end while we are still in the middle of the story. Any info would be great, thanks

Yeah it was. Endgame probably takes place in the present day.

For what?
@rustyroy: Endgame taking place five years after Eternal.
@reachdestroyer: The context of the story should be proof enough.

@rustyroy: Endgame taking place five years after Eternal.
It doesn't. I was wrong, I already said it on the above comment. I forgot that this month was FE month.
Yes it takes place 5 years after Batman Eternal.
No.

I know. I said I was wrong.
From what I understand, Endgame is a story that takes place after BE but not necesarrily an aftermath story, and a recent issue of Batman #34 called "The Meek" already told what will happen at the end. Apparently Bard is still commissioner, Gordon is in jail for murder, Penguin seems to be back in power, the Joker is still missing, Catwoman is now a Kingpin and Batman isn't on good terms with the GCPD. This will be the status quo of the Batman world by the time Endgame begins. According to Scott Snyder in an interview from Comic Con, this story will feature the return of the Joker, but unlike the last story he was in, where he showed his "love" for Batman, this time the Joker is actually pissed off at Batman for not embracing his plan in Death of the Family and leaving him to fall. According to Snyder this is Joker unlike we've seen him before where he's actually holding a grudge against Batman. This is what I have gathered about End Game so far.
