i was watching the pilot ep of the Flash tv series and in the beginning Flash detailed a car(year, make, and model) by the tire tracks in only a matter of seconds. Granted this is without his speedforce powers. I'm not sure how Barry CSI skills are in the comics b/c i dont read the Flash book(shame on me, i know), but with his speedforce powers wouldnt that make him a better detective than Bruce?

The potential is there, but I don't think it would ever be fully explored.

Batmans' intellect has to be central when he's with characters like The Flash. If Barry figured things out faster than Bruce, he'd have no reason to be there.

In his own series/universe, within reason, characters are free to really stretch their muscles. It's why Batman can take down Bane alone. For a group and comparison scenario though, they all get nerfed to an extent or buffed in some cases. It's why Clark has genious potential in his own stories, but rarely shows that in the league.

Bruce is basically the Reed Richards of criminal psychology, forensics and good old fashioned detective work, and he's no slouch in the engineering department as well. When it comes to criminal studies or being a detective Bruce is superior to Barry Allen in every way.

Tim Drake on the other hand....I could actually see him surpassing Bruce when he gets older in terms of being a detective. He's really brilliant

@batcat91: I agree! Sadly, I don't think we won't get to see Tim reach that potential anymore. Maybe they'll do something with the New 52 version, but I could care less about him. I'm a huge Tim fan, and was extremely disappointed by his new origin.

Better at forensics specifically? Maybe, but even in that case I'd say probably not.

No lets assume Supes flight/x-ray vision/speed equals to Flash's speed. He still needed Bruce to find the Parasite kidnapped Lois.
