What if they came out on the same day? Which one would you see first?
Batman
Character » Batman appears in 23651 issues.

He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, mastering martial arts, detective skills, and criminal psychology. Costumed as a bat to prey on the fears of criminals, and utilizing a high-tech arsenal, he became the legendary Batman.
Dark Knight Rises vs Man Of Steel
I'd be all over the Dark Knight Rises. Then again, I'm anti-Superman, so my vote doesn't count.
If the world ended in August, I'd die happy.
If you mean who am I more excited for then its Rises no competition, however factoring in which will have the longer lines and more crowded screening I'm going with the less popular MOS
Man of Steel.
I know Nolan's more than capable of a good Batman film, but a Superman film (by ANYONE) is rare.
Dark Knight Rises.....I am by no means excited for Man of Steel....I still think that it's going to be a flop
Everyone knows how DKR's is going to play out and that's it going to be spectacular regardless.
On the other hand, I am biased towards Superman so I would instantly jump at the opportunity to watch Man of Steel.
The Dark Knight Rises. The only reason I'm even excited for Man of Steel is due to Nolan producing it. Anything Nolan touches, I'll watch.
There's been 5 Superman films lol. Not exactly rare.Man of Steel.

Rises, because it's Nolan's Batman. That said, I can't wait for Man of Steel either.

Ah yes, but only 2 have been successful out of those 5. Batman has had much more success starting with the first 2 Burton films and soon to be trio of Nolan films.
Man of Steel. All the way. I know what to expect when I go see TDKR.
But I guess my vote don't count much anyways. I don't like Nolans Batman.

Ooops. Good movies. I meant to say good Superman films.
Man of Steel hands down, i like Batman better as a character but when it comes to movies i rather see a man flying around and lifting huge freaking stuff and fighting aliens, than a well written James Bond in a batsuit.

It really does'nt,I just addressed your complaints with regards to Hardy,at this point it's just your personal fantasy being screwed.@Poontanglife said:

Yeah well I'll take James Bond Batman over Burtman and Schumacherman.

Haha, yeah no contest. My god that was horrible.
Dark Knight rises,in a heartbeat i really want to see the final instalment of Nolan's masterpiece of a Batman story, that and ive always preferred Batman over Superman.I will watch Man of Steel when it comes out, hopefully it actually be a decent or even a brilliant Superman movie.
Bats... of course.
Who wouldn't want to finish up the trilogy before moving on to the shiny new Supes reboot?
What a great day out that would be.
I'd get up in the morning, watch Begins and TDK on DVD and then head out to the theater, watch Rises, go get some lunch and then go see MoS.

You addressed nothing, you fanwanked a way for Bane not to be hispanic in a way that doesn't agree with canon. Your other arguments didn't even make sense.
Hiring a tiny actor to play a behemoth is just stupid, unless they successfully make him look like a behemoth on screen.
@MuyJingo: How about you stop riding band wagon and come up with more original argument.
Tiny actor>>>>>>>>Talentless WWE wrestler

In your dreams,Wolverine worked just fine.
Unlike you I see more in Bane than a few pounds of muscle and a Mexican accent.

You know... They didn't really inject a skinny little guy with super soldier serum to film Captain America, hope that didn't shatter any illusions for you. >.>

Hiring an actor to play a role period, is always the best decision. Tom Hardy is a great actor with lots of fundamentals. At the end of the day, it's how the character feels over how they look. I will take virtually anyone that can act over just getting the biggest guy you can find and expect them to have the presence of someone trained to dive into playing roles on film regularly.

Do you really not understand how that comparison makes no sense? They made Wolverine more intimidating by casting a taller actor. Here they are making Bane less intimidating by making him shorter.
Bane isn't just accent and muscle to me, but his size is a large aspect of the character. Do you really see tom hardy putting christian bale over his knee and breaking his back? With a larger actor then it would at least be feasible.

As I've said all along, I have no issue if they make Bane look bigger than Batman. That doesn't seem to be the case though.

I disagree here, physicality is important. Robert DeNiro is a fantastic actor with a hell of a lot of range, but would you want him as Bruce Wayne? What about Daniel Day Lewis, one of the greatest actors of our generation as Bane? Or what about Joe Pesci as Bane? Philip Seymour Hoffman as Joker? Physicality matters, especially when in some caes more than others like Bane.

It is important, but at the end of the day you do want to take someone more for their acting skills than just looking the part. I'm not saying looking the part is completely unimportant (and it's not like Tom Hardy doesn't look like a believable Bane in trailers, because he does), but the priority should always be the ability to play the character.

How about Heath Ledger as Joker? I'm sure guys like you hated that decision as well.Wolverine's small size is INTEGRAL to his character a lot more than Bane. And what's with this height=intimidating rubbish? please grow up.I guess we should all fear Brock Lesnar or Batista and ignore the likes of Hitler and Bin Laden.
There's no evidence of Bane breaking Bruce's back with a back breaker.A move like that would require superhuman strength which does'nt even exist in Nolan's world.
Hardy has worked hard for this role,he's stepping in to Heath Ledger's shoes.Maybe you should take that in to account as well, instead of babbling about size.

Priority should be a blend. I disagree Bane looks good as bane, being shorter than batman and not hispanic. I guess we can agree to disagree.

Wolverine fans probably feel the character got screwed over as if that is the case.

Its well established that the taller a person is the more intimidating they will be perceived as. It isn't true all the time nor is it the only factor. I could link you studies, but I feel they may go over your head. A google search should suffice if you doubt the fact. I'd say it's you who needs to grow up and learn how to interpret and analyze facts, rather than just going by your feelings and wants

We don't know what the third film will introduce. Irrelevant to the point being made.

That has nothing to do with the point I am making, at all. Put your love affair for hardy aside and stick to the point.

I'll take the small terrorist over the big wrestler.I have nothing to prove, all you've done is complain about size and an accent, the same way people bitched about Ledger not being good enough to be the Joker.
