DC's animated movies have an impressive track record, so it's tough not to get completely excited over how many projects they have planned. Justice League: Warcomes out Feb. 4 (already available for digital download and you can read our review here), and we know Son of Batman and Batman: Assault on Arkham are also slated for this year. To top it off, another big story is teased during the mid-credits scene in Justice League: War. We all want to see different characters get the opportunity to shine, but let's face it, a lot of us love Batman and there's a bunch of stories we'd love to see serve as the inspiration for a future project. This week, we wanted to see which story the Comic Vine crowd really wants to get the animated treatment. Well, the results are in and the winner is...

Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo'sThe Court of Owls!

    No Caption Provided

Solid choice, Comic Viners. Snyder and Capullo's debut story in The New 52 has the potential to be a legitimately engaging movie. Plus, how awesome would the maze scene be? They could have so much fun going all out and making it as trippy as possible. If you haven't read it yet, we obviously recommend checking it out. Not far behind is Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee'sHush. Alan Moore and Brian Bolland'sThe Killing Joke earned third place. Here's the rest of the poll results:

Comic Viners, do you think an animated movie inspired by Snyder and Capullo's story would be full of win or did your vote go elsewhere? Join the discussion and speak your mind below.

I'd rather not see a Batman animated feature for a while if it meant they would put out material from the rest of the DCU instead.

Wasn't Tower of Babel already adapted? I thought it was the basis for Justice League: Doom.

Yeah, it slipped my mind while creating the poll because it's so loosely based on it.

I would rather see Hush. Better than Court of Owl(Snyder is great writing Batman don't get me wrong!) imo. Plus, features a lot of fan favorite villains.

I know a lot of us (myself included) can get sick of Batman being everywhere, but I have to admit, I can't get enough of his animate movies! DC is doing a spectacular job with all of their animate movies.

Man,I'm bummed by how's badly the black mirror did in the poll,I voted for "Long Halloween/Dark Victory" myself, but black mirror was a VERY close 2nd for me,followed by the killing joke, which did well, but still not quite as well as I was expecting.

Can't we have all of these made? But as for the next one I am torn between Black Mirror and The Long Halloween. While I am a huge fan of both of these, I feel that Black Mirror would make for a better animated feature. AND it would give us a movie with Dick as Batman. Which may throw off the general public but do I ever love Dick.... that didn't come out right (either did that)

I find myself comparing Justice League: Doom to Justice League: War now in my head. I feel like War improved on the story from the comic, but Doom didn't live up to Tower of Babel. Part of that might be that for me, Babel > Origin.

Shoot, I must have glossed over this article when the polls were open. As much as I like many of those stories, I'm interested in seeing an animated movie on "Arkham Asylum: Living Hell." Batman's great and all, but a movie centering solely on his psychotic enemies would be a nice change of pace.

I love the Batman animated films, and the latest Justice League films have been awesome, but i'd love to see a new dedicated Batman Beyond film. Return of the Joker was 13 years ago.

@herokiller12344: This is coming from someone who loves the Bat but hates oversaturated commercialism, the fact is Batman is the single most recognizable and marketable superhero out there. Look around, the yellow oval is everywhere. I have bathtowels, a throw rug and a piggy bank of Batman just to name a few. DC at least recognizes this in part by making sure he always has an animated series or movie or special coming out. Not to say it's a good thing; I'd prefer only Batman and Detective as his monthly's but that's just the nature of the beast.

They could adapt the "10,000 Clowns" arc from Batman Beyond vol. 5 or the "Hush Beyond" arc from vol. 3. I personally would like to see an adaptation of the Justice League Beyond "Konstriction" arc.

I was going to say Court of. Owls. This is one of batman a greatest story's in a very long time in my opinion and a Good example of what batman is all about. I ain't going to front, before the New 52 came out I was Hardcore marvel but DC enticed me with that Move and I have liked 80 percent of what has been done as a new/returning reader to DC.

Okay I have to ask you guys besides some of Superman's stories how could they make animated movies about other DC character when they really don't have any stories worth adapting? Also besides Batman, Superman, and the allies or villains associated with them who really likes Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, etc. to want to see a movie made about them? The fact that the Green Lantern movie and animated series were failures prove that no one really cares about anyone in the DC Universe except Batman or Superman.
