Hello, I'm kinda new when it comes to comic book and I can't think of what Batman title should I get. (I also have a Pull list if that helps for deciding). So viners, do you have any recommendations? I'll be thinking of getting the series in trade since the old issues might be hold to find.

I'd go with everything in the above post and throw in Nightwing for a little extra flavor.

However, if you want to go a different route but keep it Batman related, might I suggest picking up Volume 1 of Gotham Central. Its an excellent series by Ed Brubaker and Greg Rucka (art: Michael Lark) that focuses on the efforts of the Gotham City Police Dept. to catch criminals without Batman's help. A really great series if you're looking for something different while still being Bat related.

I would second checking out Gotham Central. Grant Morrison's now completed run should be a priority. You are probably already aware of the essential reads.

Thanks for your advice viners! I got one last question, for the Batman, can I start at Zero year and move up to there, or I need to get the whole series? I heard that you could start on some issues but I don't know which one.

I have been enjoying the regular Batman series very much so I would suggest them as the best place to start in the New 52 Bat-universe. As far as I know you can just start with Zero year (which begins in issue 21. However, if you want to do yourself a favour and read some more great Batman stories (although opinions about their greatness are not universal) you can also read more of the New 52 run).

Issues 1-12 is all about the Court of Owls.
Issues 13-17 is a Joker story-arc called Death of the Family.
Issue 18 is part of Requiem which won't make sense unless you've read Batman, Inc.
Issues 19-20 are a very short arc starring Clayface.

So you can really start with any one of those storyarcs. I hope this helps!

@zadoulo:Way latter, I wouldn't suggest getting full titles all the time sometimes only arcs :

    • Batman : Owls arc
    • Batman & Robin : all
    • Knightwing : all
    • Grayson : all
    • The dark knight : Cycle of violance arc
    • Detective comics : from issue #17 (when the original author changes)
    • I heard some good echos from Legends of the dark knight (who no-one suggested and that I haven't read yet)
    • Batman/Super also has good echos (but haven't read)
    • Batman Eternal : all
    • Havent read but Teen Titans seems good (To get news of red robin)

Anyone has read Damian: Son of Batman ? How good is it ?
